Title: Upload editorial image to Adobe Stock
Post by: pytyczech on January 23, 2019, 14:33
Hi, is there any way to upload editorial image ti Adobe Stock using Stocksubmitter?

It would be great to have chechbox in agency settings whether upload editorial or not. I set up own FTP connection to Canva which doesn't support editorial images and now I have to pick them manually.

Thanks for help.

What would be the point of that??? Adobe does NOT accept editorial. They will be rejected outright.

I made that mistake (submitting some editorial to see if they would slip through) about a year ago.  Not only did every one get rejected, but that also dropped my overall acceptance rate well below 50%, which meant I did not qualify for the free year of Lightroom/Photoshop.

In my case, I stopped doing such foolishness after only a couple hundred images. When I returned to only submitting commercial images, my acceptance rate rose over 50% again, and I got the LR/PS coupon...

All of our current editorial content is sourced through outside agencies. We aren't accepting editorial submissions from individual contributors at this time.

Hi again. I noticed editorial images in Adobe Stock. That was my point.
Thanks both of you for explanation.

Thank you for clarifying that :)
That's exactly the reason we don't allow StockSubmitter or Microstock.Plus users to upload content marked as Editorial to AdobeStock/Fotolia.

Wow, I didn't know you could get free year of PS/LR just for good acceptance rate?

Please do tell more! I have subscription to Adobe CC, but it's quite expensive, and really only use PS/LR these days, so this would be a massive saving!

You missed your chance - it was last year, and you had to have at least 300 images accepted with an overall acceptance over 50% or make more than $500 during the year.  Not sure how many activation codes they gave out but I'm sure it was quite a lot.

*, that's a shame!

Anyway, thanks for this info, good to know, maybe something like this will happen as well, so will keep my eyes open!

How did you hear about this? on this forum or FB/Instagram etc?

It was reported right here. That is where I first heard about it.

Initially reported by Adobe here last April or so.  It has been the subject of dozens of threads here since then though.

Yeah, my free year would be ending in March, but I got another 2 months from buying a Seagate external drive.
