Foap is an app in the Android(maybe iOS too) that like other microstock app you can sell photos there.
Do anyone used this app and sold something?

I only heard about Foap this week. My only doubt is about the personal information thay ask you to become "verified". They ask you to grant acces to your paypal account and have all kind of personal data taken from there, such as address, birthday and others...it never occured to me that any other agency ever asked me more than my paypal mail for paying me. What do you think about this? I'd like to give them a chance but this is really bugging me

Here's FOAP in a nutshell. $10 sales, you get $5. It's social and phone oriented. Most of the site doesn't function on a computer.

They are an honest agency, partly funded startup by the government of Sweden in 2012, investors, and partners. You know what, Google or Bing or whatever, still works.

Here's a really good review on Microstock Diaries. Read the parts about how it works. I went through the peer review period which was dumb as bricks. People would review friends photos higher, and stupid snaps of someone making duck lips would pass with a 5 while actual stock photos would get rejected. Read about releases and other kind of lazy compliance things, like everything passes because they can't pay for reviewers.

But they are 100% honest, even if they aren't the greatest for returns or business models. I left, they paid me what they owed, no problems.

Phone App Agency, have fun good luck, don't expect to make big money but heck, $5 is a nice little prize when you do get a download. Even discounted packages pay the artists $5. COOL!

actually foap now partners with getty but they want ecxlusivity so i dont bother upload there any more.also i think they give more emphasis to their differect contests run by different brands.i send some pics into their contests in the past but none of them was accepted couse the brands review the entries.so its difficult to win the big bucks unless someone here won their challenges
i had a sale of 5 dollars and that was in 2013 and unfo my only sale
they changed their review policy and you dont get dumb rejections from dumb users.the pic i sold there it was rejected back then. some idiot rated my pic 2 while it was a good photo.it was a picture of flags in london during their olympic games and i forgot it and then i posted again and voila got high ratings and sold in 2 days.I couldnt sell anythin else there unfo through the years
on the positive side i got over 7000 followers lol that is somethin i guess

Anyway I tried it for the second time and the way to upload pictures and stuff is not so easy since it's everything from phone, not worth it

Something is not clear in the statement I colored in red. The only way I know to give them access to your PP data would be to give them your PP password too and for that PP would terminate your account.

So Jafo, if they are asking for your PP email address, you can give it to them but not your PP password.

The phrase "throwing up red flags" means that a situation or statement looks wrong or potentially dangerous. Or lying, not trustworthy.

What if they don't ask for the PayPal password or complete access? Just the email for confirmation and PayPal email to send money.

Then What?

Because I was a member, and I just looked on the site, and what they request is the same as everywhere else. Actually less.

Can someone actually address that part without accusing them of being not trusted or somehow wrong or dangerous. I don't know how else to ask the simple question or answer the same basic point of fact. They don't ask for full access to our PayPal account. Anyone? Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

LOL it does, because I just went and applied and I didn't get asked for anything but email and PayPal account name. No full access.

Would someone else please just go there and check the claim that FOAP is asking for full access and stop beating me on the head for wanting to be cautious of accusations? Thanks.

Why do you post lies about foap and attack like a forum bully when somebody tries to correct the lie. I wrote foap and got the answer. They do not ask for paypal password or full access. Read from foap

Hello!

Thanks for reaching out!

It's enough if you provide your email and your birth date.

To receive payment it's also required to enter your email (PayPal email).

To connect it:

On Android:
Go to the menu in the app and click on the "Settings",
once you're there choose "Cash out settings".
In "Cash out settings" enter your PayPal email twice, e.g. if your PayPal email is "[email protected]" then you would have to enter "[email protected]" in the top field and confirm it by entering the same "[email protected]" in the bottom field.

On iPhone:
Go to menu of the app and click on “Withdraw money”. Then click on "Withdraw now" and you should be able to enter your PayPal email there. If you want to change your PayPal email click on the gear icon on the same screen and you should be able to change it from there.

This whole thread is based on a misunderstanding in post #2, and some people just take the fake news as facts and that's that...

Two minutes of research and some common sense and you will realize that it's not logical to believe that a reputable business can, will, or want to have full access to your PayPal account.
