I have started to upload my portfolio to mostphotos (i have 450 there so far). Today I got my first sale :) i received 12.5 euro which is $18. ... perhaps there is potential here. Depends on if it was a fluke or not.
I do really like uploading there though, it is as easy as lucky oliver or crestock.

Congrats, Leaf! What is the lucky image?
US$18 is almost what I made in CS in over a year. :D

Adelaide

I've had two there. Quirky site, but as said, easy to upload to. Only time I like the devalued dollar LOL. They have most of my port.
-
I have had 1 sale so far and another good point is that I was able to withdraw the money straight away. Some sites need at least 50 downloads before you get paid.
-
Hey Leaf,
I just signed up and used you as referral. Thanks for the tip.
Just a question I'm in the US what is 50 Euro in that site is that like .50cents or 50.00 dollars?
-
jorge, you get 12.5 euros. As someone said, my first sale that was about $18. The last one is wa a little less than that. Google a currency converter, it will go with whatever the current conversation rate is.
-
like www.xe.com (http://www.xe.com)
1.00 EUR = 1.47629 USD
-
...
1.00 EUR = 1.47629 USD
Ouch ... Europeople must cringe at payment time - 30% of your earnings vanish!
-
yep.
last year against the norwegian kroner the $$ was 6:1, now it is 5:1 so I am making 18% less just due to the crummy exchange rate.
but on the other hand - camera gear is getter cheaper and cheaper. Now if only BH accepted paypal from Norway - perhaps it is coming though since they now accept paypal from US, Canada, and UK

I had a few sales there. Getting 12.50 Euros per sale is nice, but they don't come often.
The non-review policy lets in sometimes some god awful stuff, but then it's my personal opinion, maybe someone is looking exactly for that:) I am definitely happy to have all of my work up there. Also, with their ranking index - people do unsightly things, like original swedish photogs ranking down everything that is not swedish, or another example - I had a few pics with dogs and they got ranked down severely by a person whos tiny portfolio is only dogs ... annoying really. I know you can block users if you thing they just want to get rid of competition, but hey I got other things to do than to track down these people.
I mean, if statistically there are more decent people out there than not, that kind of indexing would work... hard to tell:) I have tried ranking images there myself but then stopped because I realized that my criteria is too high. It's very subjective. So, maybe a better way to go would be to do something like Alamy, based on views/downloads, not on the fears of a person that worries that their dog pics won't sell...;-)

I really like this site and hope that it will bring in Eurp buyers. The return for photographers is great and I hope to see a sales there soon.
-
assumingly everyone would get an equal amount of trolls - so the ranking should work out in the end, but whose to say... it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
-
I just got one image there and it got ranked -5.4 I don't understand that
system, and from what I just read it might be an unfair system. I guess
we should see what happens when I upload more images.

Leaf,
I'm going to register and check-out mostphotos. I put you down as a referral if it takes in their system as I had already typed in "mostphotos.com" without a referral link from you.
It did have a field on their registration form where I could put in your id so I hope you get the credit ..

FYI:
I've had my first sale there in my first month there ... 12.5 Euros with immediate payout possible as I requested it through PayPal and received it the same day just to see how quick they were :)
