I'm curios about Catooh, and I can't find any reviews on microstockgroup.
I have uploaded some photos to them this month, and actually sold a couple already. But I'm a little bit unsure about the reviewing process...it seems like they either accept or reject everything in the batch  :o
Anyone else tried them?

Never heard of them. What can you tell us about them? Any Info? What are the licenses selling for?

New contributor, 2 posts, first one to degrade competitor FotoMinds. Now this. Take the broad category "Asia" on Catooh and there are only 269 images, most of you.
Are you really "curious", or just pimping your site?  ;) Dj vu.

Pimping my site didn't even cross my mind. Newbies ain't that confident...not me anyway! I was just looking for a more "pro" opinion.  I have been searching this site to see if anyone says something about Catooh for a long time, but when no one did I posted a reply in another topic so I could ask all of you.

I've been doing Video on Catooh for a couple years now...  They mostly sell to EU customers and their primary market is home consumers, not professionals.  I have about 30 stills uploaded and I sell 2 or 3 a month at 1 MP size.

I have a friend who uploaded 400 stills and had 216 rejected.  He says that he only gets about 10 to 15 sales a month, so it takes 4 to 6 months to reach the $50 payout requirement.

They reject a LOT of stuff and it's totally unfathomable as to why.  And their web site is very difficult to use from a sellers PoV.

I had a look at it yesterday and thought I would try to upload some images. The actual upload was OK, although extremely slow (about 2 hours for 20 photos), but I am stumped by the next stage of the process. It doesn't seem to import the metadata - no title, description, keywords (although it helpfully adds the filename as the Title!), and then there would be a laborious selection of categories through a folder system. I've given up without getting one photo through the process.

Horrible, indeed!

I am uploading photos to Catooh.

I think it is very nice microstock site.

You can upload photos, footage or musical things.

Also I noticed that Catooh is selling mostly to European customers mostly.

LOL - my user name and password still work and I have 31 images online, with a grand total of earnings of, wait for it, $0.00

Interesting thread here Steve. Sort of like your feedback fell onto death ears, as the site's praises are sang oblivious of your feedback.  Thank you for your trouble. Will steer clear of it for at least the next year or so  ;)
