Title: Anyone heard of Vpuzzler?
Post by: Click Images on July 17, 2014, 11:56
Anyone heard of Vpuzzler?  They contacted me via Facebook.  I haven't done much research on them, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them.

Here is the Facebook message they sent me:

Hi,

My name is Marcin Roszkowski and I’m the co-founder of a new media marketplace called Vpuzzler.com. We’re currently gathering content in order to launch final version of our platform.

I’m wondering what circumstances have to meet in order to have such professional portfolio as yours on board our project.

We’re offering video (15-20 USD), image (1-9 USD) as well as audio (1-3 USD) in Royalty Free and editorial license.
Would be grateful for information from your side regarding the conditions of potential cooperation.

Would be great to hear from you.
Best regards,
Marcin Roszkowski

Multiply your rates by 50. That is an insult if those are selling prices. Even commission they suck. I get $25 for a video onnshutterstock. Here again is another agency trying to get a piece of the pie by cheapening the market.

What an awful name.  I'd avoid them just for that.

I did exactly that. I got an email from them. The name is a total turn-off, it doesn't even matter what their offer is. It's confusing and a little disturbing. It's just weird.

I used to think Yay Micro was the worst name in the business. I stand corrected.

still, Stocksy isn't that much far from it , really.
i remember when i first heard that my group was selected to be the model group to attract a web company called Yahoo. we all laughed. but Alanis Morrissette did not, and she bought stocks from Yahoo.
we are not laughing today.

And I got the PM on FB. Funny, Marcin is from Poland and writes to me in English   ;)  I'm surprised it's so difficult to find that we both are from PL...

Well... not interested.

There are so many (milionssss) of cheap and free images... Why invest waste my time to another one agency?

Hi,

I’m Marcin from Vpuzzler. It’s obvious that I imagined Vpuzzler debut on microstockgroup a little bit different  ;) Having said that I really liked to thank for all  the remarks and criticism. Because due to discussion like this I get to learn how to develop a platform that will meet your expectations. I know how you folks are demanding so thought exchange with you might be the best lesson for my staff and me.

Vpuzzler is indeed in its infancy. We just started this projected and launched beta site. There’s a long way ahead of us and I perfectly understand that there’s lot of work is still to come. I’m also aware that our prices level are not for every one, nevertheless I’m happy that we already receive thousands of media from contributors that decided to give us a shot.

We’re building unique platform that will be a part of much complex communication tool. Unfortunately I can’t tell more before we’ll launch all of our services officially. We're at the stage where we're gathering media and it's obvious that not everybody will gives a try. Maybe some of you will give us chance, some will come later if at all. I understand and respect that.

Every newcomer has a rough start. I would be grateful for some more tips that will help me and my team to build a better marketplace.

All the best,
Marcin

My expectations:

Easy upload/keywording, actual sales, reasonable prices for buyers and a decent cut for contributors.  That's all!

I just got the same invite from FB. With no info how many visits/sales/upload they get per day lately. Should have a video showing the upload process and so on to know the platform without needing to join.

IMHO with this flooded competition of microstock sites, they need to start offering the contrary way:
100% or 90% revenue at the 1st year, so they get to build a data also and we "lose" our time in another microstock that doesn't sell a dime for a while;
80% revenue at the second year.
70% revenue at the 3rd year and no more reductions.

Well, I wish good luck, but I'm not interested in this moment neither to try the platform, unless it proves me that I can make at least thousand bucks per month right away. Kkkk. ;0)

That's saddening news.

We're at the stage where we're gathering media and it's obvious that not everybody will gives a try. Maybe some of you will give us chance, some will come later if at all. I understand and respect that.

It could have been less rough if your offer was more interesting. Increase your prices/commissions and you might get our attention. Right now your business sounds like another cheap agency trying to grab a piece of the pie.
Also, why the name VPuzzler?
