I had nice earnings posted in my account at Zoonar last month (01. Judy 2010).
But this month I didn't have anything. Actually, I had one sale posted yesterday, but that's nothing comparing to last month.
Anyone?

Not surprising there aren't many sales considering the number of new images they have after paying us to upload.  I am getting a few sales through polylooks, better than most of the new sites I have tried in the past few years.

I appear to be having the same problem

On the 1st of June, all of the sales that I achieved on Polylooks during the month of May, were credited to my Zoonar account.

On the 1st of July, all of the sales that I achieved on Polylooks during the month of June, were credited to my Zoonar account.

The sales that I achieved each month far out-weighed what I have been achieving on sites such as Featurepics, Cutcaster, Veer, Deposit Photos, and Graphic Leftovers.  For a relatively new site, and considering that I've only been a member of Zoonar for a short time, I was more than pleased with the sales that I achieved during this two-month period.

However, I'm puzzled why it appears that I didn't achieve ONE sale on Polylooks during the 31 days of July.

I wrote to Zoonar's Michael, yesterday, to ask him to look into this matter.

He promptly replied to my e-mail, offering me the possible reason for the lack of any sales during July, might be due to the fact that a lot of people in Germany are on holidays during July and early August and, consequently, photo sales should be expected to be low.

I notified him that I could not get Zoonar to work for a number of hours between the 31st of July and the 2nd of August. I asked him to look into the possibility that if the Zoonar site was down during this period, the Polylooks sales figures for July may not have updated properly on to the Zoonar site.  He promptly replied to my request and stated that he would look into this.

It might be a good idea for others in the same situation to log their concern in this thread.

I noticed that I got several "partner" sales as Zoonar in Jan marked as Polylooks. How can? Isn't Polylooks fully closed for several months?

At the beginning of january we have booked the december earnings from polylooks.

We think that Age and Photolibrary will be a good surrogate for polylooks (but the sales will just beginn in April 2011).  And some more partner will be implement in the next weeks too. We recommend you to release your photos for our partners DDP Images and Picturemaxx too.

They announced to close earlier but they finally closed the shop end of the year.

Thanks for clarification. It's a pity they closed Polylooks when it just started to pick up... Let's see if the other partners will work better.

Paying us to upload and then closing site afterwards is funny - microstock is never boring.

Was it Zoonar or Polylooks who paid us for uploading, can't remember...

[updated]jointly Polylooks & zoonar

I suppose it's different top managers at Deutche Telecom who made these 2 different decisions. One decided to give it a try and then some one else probably decided that it isn't a strategic business for Deutche Telecom and isn't worth spending anything more.

[updated]corrected typo - thank you microstockphoto.co.uk :)

Zoonar paid ! We made the whole process and the money came also from us. But Polylooks gaves a part so it was a condition to release photos to booth agencies to get the money.

We also regret the decission from the german telekom ag. Polylooks was a very good venture....

I wonder who is the partner "TELEKOM_1000_#001" as it doesn't look like the one in the list?
I just got a decent 20Eur sale in March attributed to that partner - interesting to know what it is.

That was a special deal they made (and obviously Deutsche Telekom was the buyer). You should have gotten an e-mail in advance indicating what picture they intend to buy and for what usage, and you had to agree.
That's how it worked for me. It's been a while ago that they asked, and now the deal seems to have settled.

Automatic text replacement is funny... obviously MikLav wrote D T meaning Deutsche Telekom and now it's being replaced with Dreamstime

Scary scenario by merging the two companies! Soon they will reject phone calls: "Too many telephone conversations on the same subject or from the same series"  ;D

could be, don't remember.

I wonder if anyone is having sales at Zoonar. I had some Polylooks sales in the past, and I've got one Telecom sale, but I am not getting anything else than that. 0 sales of Zoonar itself, or any other partner.

Exact same experience here.

Same here. 500+ files there, opted in all partners that offer micro option.

Sales a rare and long in between. But today (only three days after I got the one of the Telekom deal mentioned above for 20 Euros) I had another sale, via APIS, 21 Euros my cut. For a file that is on the site in the Microstock price range. Not bad...

That got me my second payout, still a low performing site, but better than some of the low earners for me.

Same here... some sales from Polylooks, one from TELEKOM and one from APISNETWORK but nothing from Zoonar itself. Luckily, prices paid by partners are good so even just a sale a month is more that I get at many other minor sites.

Apisnetwork (picturemaxx) IS Zoonar himself. That is no other picture agency, it`s a software database solution for magazin editors (especially german print magazines but not only). Every agency have to find his one costumers there, because you are not automatically activated from the photo editors. Zoonar supplied many of his costumers to picturemaxx because it is a easy way to deliver photo files.

Then, great! I wish all sales in micro were at Apisnetwork's prices.
