Ok guys, I don't laugh out loud this hard very often.  I got a site mail on flickr for this new Micro:

http://www.kachoozie.com/

The spelling on the site itself, and the fact that it's a ktools build makes me laugh.  Best on the Planet!   ::)

Here was the pitch:
(Yes, it was formatted like this.)

We are looking for users to sign up and
test our site, we will pay you 25.00 per
100 images accepted ( once accepted the
images will be available for resale,so you
can profit from them as well).
We do require you sign up for our email
list and provide us feedback on the
usability of the site.
Please note- getting paid for this is
contingent upon the upload,image
acceptance, feedback(signup for the
feedback site will be sent and there are forums there for feedback), and sign up
for the newsletter. The program is limited to a finite amount of users, so sign up
soon for consideration of the feedback program.
Please note, you can sign up and upload images, however; if you are accepted
into the program, you will be notified via email, once accepted you must send us
confirmation that you want to participate, and follow the guidelines.
Not everyone will be accepted into the program. We also reserve the right to limit
the numbers of images WE pay the photographer for, so in other words this is not
an income stream that the feedback participants will be paid for indefinitely,
photographers will still receive any commission on images that are sold via our
site.
To be considered please sign up and create a profile on the site, and sign up for
the newsletter at the site, as folks that do not participate in the feedback
program, we will cancel their invitation and send out new ones. Again, you can
still sign up and upload images if you do not wish to participate in the program.
KachOOzie.Com was formed in 2007. Our goal is to provide the best quality stockphotos at a reasonable price, for our customers, and at the same time provide a
decent commission structure to our photographers.
Background
The Founder of the company is a professional photographer, and has been for 25
years, which means the Kachoozie Network will provide the highest commissions
of all the stock sites out there!
We have a unique business plan that will allow greater sales for our
photographers. This means photographers wont have to spend hours submitting
photos for very little return
Customers By offering a very wide selection of not only stock images, but many
others aspects of graphic design, we have made it easier for customers to
purchase pre-made designs, for use in their projects.
Designers Not only do we offer a complete range of stock photography, but we
have also created an area where designers ( Photoshop experts) can sell their
designs.
What makes this different from the other sites? There are a few sites that offer
designers the ability to sell their designs, but we have taken this one step further
to establish relationships with other companies that can use the designs on their
products, this creates a very high conversion rate for the designers sales(and
stock photographers for that matter).
Finally by offering our services on a Business to Business platform, along with an
aggressive marketing program, we drive sales for our photographers, as opposed
to just leaving the traffic up to the search engines.

This site is awesome because it answers two age-old questions:

1. It answers the question of where all of the best stock photos mankind has ever created reside, since Kachoozie's tagline is "The Best Stock Photos on the Planet."

2. It also answers the question of where you can find the worst logo on the planet.

They mis-titled this one.  Should have been "stoned hippie after taking a leak behind rock".

Looks like a retired crossdresser to me. The leak is a spammy keyword since you can't see it actually in the shot (heavens be praised for that).

The site has no business address, just a PO Box somewhere in Az. Who would entrust his capital (photos) to them?

Hello there, I wish I had found this before, but none the less, I just got the Google alert for it, and I also had someone send me an email about it.

First off I must say I really appreciate the extra traffic you have sent the site, since this thread has gotten a ton of views, and by the emails I get, telling me about it, those views are converting to contributors and buyers, so thanks for that!

Having said that I think the original poster should really take some time to think about what goes on behind the face of a website, if it isn't obvious yet, I am the owner operator of the Kachoozie site. While you might think is is humorous to bash a site, I hardly find it humorous, since I have spent a ton of money, and have put allot of time and sweat equity into the site! I basically work night and day on my sites, and try to put a quality product together, and provide the people I deal with, a pleasant experience. I also operate the business with integrity. One poster has pointed out there is a po box associated with the site, that is because we work from home and don't want our home address on the Internet, I am sure you all can appreciate that.

Just some background on this, Kachoozie is a small business that I have funded out of pocket, and I am so sorry but I simply do not have the high dollar budget, that other sites have. We had a developer who we originally hired and had the site built, paid them half down, only to have the original site never get finished, so we moved on to another developer, only to have the same thing happen, luckily that time, I had placed the money in escrow, and was able to get a refund. So while you may think ktools is a joke, I must tell you that script has proven to be pretty awesome, and the support from the company is fantastic. We did have to do a bunch of customization, to make it look good, but overall the site has come along way since the original post. Again, while you may think there are huge companies behind sites on the Internet, the company consists of my wife and myself, we even have the kids help on occasion.

As far as trusting your photos to us, we have remained committed to the site and project, even in this tough economy, unlike others who fail or cease operations and just keep your money.  I was with Lucky Oliver and they ceased, and basically said if you want to use what earnings are in your account we wont pay you but we will let you buy some other peoples images. We are actually going to change the tagline to the best stock photo site on the planet, and here's why, we pay 70/30 so the contributor gets 70% as opposed to 50% or less. We also pay out earnings within a month not hold the contributor hostage until some minimum amount is reached. That is the real reason I started the site since I felt the big dawgs take advantage in allot of way.

Logo- hmm, in the feedback program that we have done ( the participants that were involved can be found on kachoozie.net) everyone really liked the logo, I can't remember if we had the Monkey last May, but it has been a hit so far.

Finally, again I want to thank everyone again here so much for sending traffic, please do continue to do so, you know what they say any publicity is better than none at all.

Please be sure and have a Kachoozie day!!!!!

PS- one final thought , the original poster is from Denver, and that is my home town, I just want to apologize, if I picked on you in school, or stepped on your foot or something in passing, hey you never know it could have happend! ;}

Have a great day ! -ter

I'm really sorry, I don't mean to bash because I know it takes guts and money to start a business and I admire that you had the courage to do this in today's economy, but I ran across this thread in your forums:

OK here are some options for the Kachoozie Tagline, we need you help deciding:

"Let your Kachoozie Flow"
"When you say Kachoozie, you've said it all!"
"I wish I was a Kachoozie!"

I suppose you were going with something clever that people will remember with the Kachoozie name, and I sincerely hope that will work for you. And if you succeed and your site takes off, I will eat my words and apply for membership. But personally, and this is offered as constructive criticism, you by all means can take or leave...I think it's WAY too cutesy and does not impart any feeling of seriousness or trust for me. Again, IMHO. But that's just me.

Well how are your other sites Doggyhats.com and embroideredtreasures.com doing?

Looks like the kachoo people are Do ANYthing for a Buck. Yeah, selling stock photos must be really easy so let's try it...

To Trunion - so how are things on E Hale St? See, you're not that hard to track down. Just about 5 minutes of internet sleuthing. Nice swimming pool in the yard BTW.

To the OP Thanks for responding so quickly! I knew a Denver person would not let me down! I really appreciate the response, it shows what kind of person you really are ! I will keep you posted, keep that salt and pepper ready to eat those words! lol

Here is the background how we came up with the name - I was watching Oprah one day and she had some lady on that said she did some research on the "k" sound and that most companies that used is were successful, like Kodak and Coca Cola, the lady's company name was Spankx for the panty hose. I thought you know what she does have a point, so I searched and searched and finally found the Kachoozie name, so that is how is evolved.

Yes it is kind of stupid and goofy, but you wont soon forget it, in fact I think most of the folks who read this will dream of Kachoozie! I think you are correct it is a crazy name, and folks may not take it seriously but how about pond5, flickr, squib, boing boing, and many others? The internet is full of them, so hopefully someday, the Kachoozie name will make all of you funny people eat your words - lol

For all the others, it seems there is some sort of virus going on in here , since you all keep sneezing, so God Bless you all !

Thanks for all the good wishes, I truly want to make it , and am very determined, so watch out for that name cause someday you may just read about it, or see it on the news , then you will say, * I remember that guy who responded , where is that guy, oh yea he has become wildly successful in a very competitive market, and is now shooting all day long,  loving life!

Have a Kachoozie day, and let your Kachoozie flow, yeah, love you all! -ter

Wow, you are really good! No not anything for a buck since I have not made any money on those, I wish we could claim we made some money on that, but  we ended up killing those, that was a business my wife and I worked on about ten years ago, we had an embroidery business, and that was a really hard business to get going, not to mention, it is very hard to work with your spouse, so fast forward ten years, we have decided to give it a go again, I would like to think I have matured and working with the wife is all good, we have been married for 20 years now, and the doggyhats thing just was not worth it, since it almost cost us our marriage. We are working together again, and things are going well, she is helping out a bunch.

Just so you know we don't live on Hale anymore , and have not lived there for some time, if it is really important to you, I would be happy to meet you for coffee anytime, so just drop a line, and I am there! Well maybe not since you are in Buffalo NY. Trust me selling stock photos is not easy, if you think it is , you might want to give it a shot!
