Hi all,

New website, GL stock images, is here, please get ready and sign up..

http://graphicleftovers.com/ref=mtkang/
pay you 52% of sales..

It is actually graphicleftovers.com...so finally they have to transform and focus rather just on graphic..

you can set your own price, you got 52%..selling faq here:
http://graphicleftovers.com/selling/ref=mtkang/

the more important, they do have sales..and paid 52%. While there are many new coming website that compete to pay us less and less, there is no reasons not to support a site that pay us fair.

I love GL, looks like a good name change and bringing in different sizes should help.  I don't mind referral links, as long as the person mentions that it's a referral link.

Here's my referral link :)

hey, it is my thread, click here http://graphicleftovers.com/selling/ref=mtkang/

just kidding..

anyway, i got quite a few sales at the beginning, but i think it get more competition after the GL personality start to come in..and maybe now i will have less sales, anyway, like what i say it is better to upload to them than some sites that pay 25% or less..

one of the interesting features is sometimes they will pick some new images to the GL collections..that's mean it will features in the main page as random images..good feelings.

Looks like a good move. I assume it will still be set your own price for the vectors.

From reading the news thingy on the site we will still control how our stuff is priced.  I have all of mine set to $6 and a few at $10.  Looks like it could possibly be only $6, $10, $15 and we can control the licensing on each image as well.  Wonder if the URL is gonna change too and how that will affect referrals.

I had another thing I wanted to say but lost my train of thought.

The 'leftovers' name never had much zing in my opinion.

Like mtkang said - nice sales at the start, then it fizzled out, maybe because it got too crowded.  But I still get a sale every now and then, and they continue to take just about all my photos, so I hope they do well.

There will be three price categories: $6, $10 and $15.
You can still set pricing and licensing options for individual images.
The domain (graphicleftovers.com) will remain the same but will also have glstockimages.com pointing to it as well.

New image size pricing:
$6 large jpeg or vector, $3 medium, $1 small
$10 large jpeg or vector, $5 medium, $2 small
$15 large jpeg or vector, $7 medium, $3 small

Looks like a great move to me...I mean who would chose to have "Leftover"?

GL has always been a consistent earner for me, lets hope this move takes it up another level.

As for people promoting their referral links...you wont catch me doing it!  >:( I frown on such activity.  ;)

I would disagree with that, Graphic Leftovers was a great name. I'm sure a lot of people found the name intriguing and also memorable. Initials are sometimes hard to remember, unless it's something like ML Images, although that might be a little misleading.

Crap Cleaner changed their name to CCleaner, but I still call it Crap Cleaner to this day and I'm sure their original name also played apart in their success. It's software by the way, I'm not just being vulgar.

GL Stock Images is good too but just not so unique. Still a great site though.

I agree that a descriptive name is a good move and that GL means nothing, my point was more that "Leftovers" led (me anyway) to think of the wrong connotation...Graphics that nobody wanted.

New image size pricing:
$6 large jpeg or vector, $3 medium, $1 small
$10 large jpeg or vector, $5 medium, $2 small
$15 large jpeg or vector, $7 medium, $3 small

what are the minimum sizes of each? (small, medium, large)

I would say that should be also a Xlarge price once we all have some panoramic pics or "collections"

Anyone heard anything from GL on when the new site transition will be finished and when uploads will be re-opened?

I was wondering the same thing. I haven't been able to upload in ages.

Yeah, that transition thing is kinda messing up my upload system. I wonder how long does it take to move stuf from one server to another one?

Strange how they haven't given us an update.  They're still selling, so as long as they keep the buyers happy, I can wait.

Hello everyone! We know that not being able to upload to GL has been frustrating! During the downtime, we have switched hosts, added several high speed servers and did some review catch up (40,000+ images).  Uploading should be restored by the end of the weekend. We will announce it on MSG when active.

As for the launch of the new site, we have decided to delay the launch until after the holiday buying season. We want to make sure our current buyers are not confused by the new name and new interface. We are just being cautious and do not want to disrupt any sales during this busy holiday time. Thank you for being patient and we look forward to all your new images!

The site uploader is up and ready for submissions! FTP will be restored shortly. If you normally upload via FTP, you are welcome to use the site uploader in the mean time. Thanks again for your patience.
