Hello microstockgroup users,

newbielink:http://www.pixabang.com/ [nonactive] is quite new czech microstock agency (running half a year). To meet the demand we are looking for new contributors. You can contact us: newbielink:mailto:[email protected] [nonactive].

To become a contributor you have to upload 6 images (photos, illustrations or vectors - we accept EPS and SVG). Five of the six images must pass.

We provide to our contributors up to 50% from each sale.

We read IPTC data, categories are detected automatically by keywords.

Our keyword tool in submission page is very advanced. It can suggest keywords and insert a lot of related keywords automatically.

Uploading is very easy - just drag and drop your files from any folder on your pc to our website in the suggestion page.

We accept JPG, EPS and SVG. To upload vector illustrations you don't need any thumbnail - they are created automatically.

We have also developed PixaOrganizer tool ( newbielink:http://software.pixabang.com/ [nonactive]) for submission images to microstock agencies. You can use it for free for submission to Pixabang.com. In PRO version you can submit to any agency with FTP access. This tool contains its own dictionary and entering keywords is easier than ever before, see: newbielink:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGatqdEfsSM [nonactive].

Hi Pixabang,

in short words I want to know what makes you different from bunch of other cheap agencies? How will you competite with them (except low pricing)?

On your site I can see: "Get 25% - 50% from each sale."
What it depends on? Why anyone would like to spend time on earning less than on other old and good prospering agencies?
I don mean to outrage you, it is just simple business and honest talk. Seriously and with respect, please lure me more than with show link only :)

Commisions are in range of 25-50% and they are calculated automatically. It depends on price and method of payment (usually it is about 50%).

Let's say someone will pay with credits then commision is exactly 50%.
But if someone pays for each sale, commisions may be lower. Each transaction costs about 50 cents. The commision is 50% of price minus transaction fees.

In the worst case: the smallest size costs about 1 USD, so earnings will be 0.5 * (1 USD - 0.5 USD) = 0.25 USD (25%)
But in average: let's say image costs 6 USD, then earnings will be 0.5*(6 USD - 0.5 USD) = 2.75 USD (46%)

We offer simple licenses (no limits in copies, no limits in electronic or print usage). Our customers are mainly from the Czech (Fotobum.cz), we launched Pixabang.com now and hope to expand to get more customers. Of course it is necessary to continuously do work in marketing.

Thanks for explanations.

That ($1=no limits) made my decision - no thanks!

I just don't know how you want to encourage people to upload here  :o In the fact photographers are rather leaving and do avoid places and offers like this one here...
Fifty/fifty % is appreciated but still not good business in details.

Contributors aren't into weird equations to figure out what they receive any more, so you're not going to gain anyone with that.

Also, I'd suggest redoing your logo.  It's very pixelated and old school.

I searched for something and every image that came up was completely unrelated to my search terms; you can choose "all" or "free," and "free" gives you the same unrelated images, just in a small size.

So the site seems to be giving away images which are unrelated to whatever it is you need.

Keep in mind that we are talking about size 0.1 MPX (for example 397 x 264 px) for that price!

There are so many of these fly by night start up agencies trying to make a quick buck off of our work that it makes me want to puke. Voodo commissions are the first thing to rattle our cages and 25%? Have you not been following these threads? We are fed up with agencies taking 75% or more of our income. Look at deposit photos. They get as much as 97% from contributor images and they have their fangs sunk deep enough that they will maintain enough contributors to make a sweet living off of the backs of suppliers. Sorry but i am taking a back seat and a wait and vet position before ever uploading to new sites again. 500px was a dissappointment and all these other start ups have gone nowhere and they have to compete with all those other low earners on the list to the right of this forum.

This is to say that i personally look at start ups like you as blood * leeches when right off th bat you are keeping up to 75% with rediculous license terms. Forget it. Rant done.

I am speaking for me only, however. Other perspectives may vary.

I did a search for office and got three images - the closest to an office was a phone receiver dangling against an outdoor scene.

I searched for Aruba and got pictures of dogs (none of which had the keyword Aruba, so the problem isn't spam)

If buyers can't find anything useful when they search, we don't even get to the discussion of terms, royalties, payments, etc. You don't appear to be ready to even ask for contributors to upload.

The same photo of a bay at "Baska Voda - Croatia" was near the top for Refinery, and also for Scotland. I didn't see much that was obviously Scotland in that search, but neither was the keyword in all the obviously wrong words that I checked, as Jo Ann found above.

Actually, as soon as I see the word 'credits' I move on.
