The death of iSyndica is something that took all of us by surprise. It's true; the first year or so is crucial!

I do not want to get to deep on this. The point is this: We are still here! FStockphotos is still growing and still moving forward!
In an industry where other agencies have closed or bought by bigger ones, we go about our business as usual.

Have you seen what acceptance rate is for images? Do you know why? It is because your images are approved / denied by other photographer who themselves have images on that site. We eliminated that by having just one person who does this. We judge on quality. So no politics.

Rest assured that FStockphotos will not be going anywhere anytime soon!

Somehow, that doesn't sound very reassuring. :P

I just tried a search on 'tea' and the top results are:

A tree, a fried breakfast, some kind of livestock, a bird, some teenagers, a cup of coffee, a flower, some business people, and even some snakes.

I'm curious as to how any buyer will find the right picture with search returns like that?

Just to bring this whole thing full circle, i searched "fried breakfast" and came up with mostly yuri arcurs shots of people eating granola. FD-regular calls it again! But no snakes, so maybe your post caused them to try refining their keywords, rubyroo. And I was really looking forward to a shot of snake and eggs...
Hope I can sleep well tonight.

You may have better luck on another try... I just did it again, and I'm still getting snakes... just noticed they're both pics of a
python by Yuri.  No snake and eggs though... so sorry  ;)

ETA:  I think I see why... the snakes have the keyword 'stealthy' and the livestock image has the keyword 'steak' <-- two words with 'tea' in the middle.  Obviously a somewhat generous search algorithm!

Yes, since he is a top photographer with gorgeous models and a huge portfolio. So he will dominate the searches. Can you spot a tiny moon next to a blazing sun?

Aaaah, Les Fleurs Du Mal  8) Those were the days! Although I prefer Verlaine for microstock: Les sanglots longs des violons de l'automne blessent mon cur d'une langueur monotone. Translated: why so many subs on Dreamstime in autumn?  ;)

I know, but I can't handle compliments.  :P I'm used to being scorned. Thank you so much.

FStock... I registered on your site today with a view to adding you guys to picWorkflow (my iSyndica replacement), but to be honest, there I soooo many problems with your site I don't even know where to begin.
If you're still alive & kicking drop me an email [email protected] and let me know if you want detailed feedback and I'll get back with some :)
