MAJOR NEW SIGNING FOR MOODBOARD

Stock image specialist moodboard.com announces the signing of top
photographer to its squad

Talented professional photographer Vladimir Godnik has joined
moodboard.coms squad of pro stock image photographers.

Vladimir, who lives in Russia, has more than 25 years under his belt as
a photographer, 17 of those as a professional.

There are currently more than 600 images by the Russian-born
photographer now available through www.moodboard.com
<http://www.moodboard.com/>  and, with Vladimir undertaking around five
shoots a week, more work will be available in coming months.

moodboard creative director, Kate Stevens said: Vladimir is an exciting
new addition to our talented team of professional stock image
photographers. He has a unique style and brings a new dimension to our
collections. Vladimirs ability to connect with his subjects and, in
turn, the viewer is one of the key reasons he is able to bring his
images to life.   This is enhanced by manipulating the light sources to
give the appropriate sense of mood or drama on each image. It also
allows for emotional depth and gives image buyers the opportunity to
generate a sense of highly personal messaging for their clients.

Vladimir said: I find the way moodboard helps me to find the right
subjects and styles a wonderful adventure! I am working every day and I
think that if you dont have an inspiration to work you just have to
work more, otherwise you are not professional.

When I shoot commercially for stock libraries, I still enjoy what I am
doing.  When Debbie (my moodboard editor) helps me with ideas or when
she adds to my ideas the very important final touch for me it is
hundred time more important than inspiration.  I am really happy with
our working relationship and believe together we are gaining good
results. It inspires me to keep working and submit my imagery its a
fruit of our common work!

He added: Working with stock agencies offers a number of benefits
including the fact that you dont have to ask for local work and when
people come to you, you are the boss take it or leave it; when you
work with few good production agencies you are more protected against
local problems in photography markets and you can plan your time
yourself.

But you still have to work hard and be aware of what and how you should
photograph to meet the industry demands.

Innovative new UK-based online stock image library www.moodboard.com
<http://www.moodboard.com/>  was launched by Mike Watson and a number of
other ex-Digital Vision senior personnel last year to challenge the more
established US-based stock image providers in the market, such as Getty
and istock, by delivering simple search, clear price pointing and
optimum quality images.

With more than 70,000 images, moodboard is one of the fastest growing
image providers on Corbis.com. But its aim is not to house hundreds of
thousands of images, just the right ones, with focus on quality and
value for money.

moodboards pricing strategy helps achieve the best possible return for
talented photographers.

Photographers whose work meets moodboards creative and technical
requirements can sell work in any of www.moodboard.coms
<http://www.moodboard.com's/>  three categories:  moodboard+ is at the
top end of the exclusivity scale, with the production and creative
values of rights-managed photography, but with the flexibility of
royalty free pricing; moodboard premium offers royalty free images for
unlimited usage for a one off fee; and moodboard micro is a quality
microstock collection that  offers hobbyist photographers accessibility
to a market place and buyers the opportunity to use images for  the
range of budget conscious projects.  moodboard images are also sold via
more than 140 distributors worldwide.

moodboard also offers unrivalled photographer coaching and support
through its highly experienced creative team. Kate Stevens explains:
moodboards photographer relations programme is the best in the
business.

Our experienced editors dont just tick boxes but will help
photographers think commercially about pictures from ideas and writing
briefs to art directing shoots and editing images on behalf of our
photographer partners; effectively coaching photographers from the idea
to the finished image to give them the best chance of making the most
amount of money out of it.

Were one of the only agencies that offer this service, but we feel it
s invaluable in getting the right images with the right partners.

moodboards photographer agreement establishes a non-exclusive
relationship between it and the photographer, however, accepted images,
in its premium collections, are represented on an exclusive basis for
the term of the agreement.

Photographers can sign up to become a moodboard photographer via the
site www.moodboard.com <http://www.moodboard.com/>  or contact

constantly strive to be at the forefront of the stock image industry,
pushing technologies to enable photographers to make money easier and

moodboard 2.0 will open up more earning potential for hobbiest content
than rivals such as i-stock; and in these times of economic uncertainty,
it is important we support photographers in every way we can and deliver
new and more effective ways for them to sell their work. We will also be
driving sales with an exciting marketing campaign to raise awareness of
moodboards benefits to customers.

The latest enhancements weve made to our site not only make it easier
than ever for photographers to get work considered and track their sales
progress, so they can spend more time taking new photos, it also means
our customers have the ability to purchase professionally edited images
at price points that suit their needs again which is great news for
photographers selling via us.

At moodboard we dont make photographers jump through hoops to see
higher earnings.  If pictures are strong enough from the outset, and
photographers are happy to give us image exclusivity, well team them
with the moodboard collection that enhances their best features.

Mike added: We hope that visitors to the show will take the time to
come and talk to our experienced team, who have led change in the stock
photo industry in the past, and see how were at the forefront of
innovation again today.

Whether photographers are interested in becoming a member of moodboard

Two things about the second release.

What do all the other sites have, if it isn't photographers uploading files?

The lnk will take you to this. "
Description: An application error occurred on the server."
 ;D

Edit: make that one thing, the link is up and working.

An industry first, the online function encourages more hobbiest
and professional content for consideration by its team of editors by
allowing photographers to upload images directly via the site
