Title: new site - citizen image

Citizen Image (http://www.citizenimage.com/home.do)

Looks interesting, however it looks like another cross between micro and macro, in the $20-$100 range.  This price scheme hasn't seemed too succesful in the past, but who knows.  I have signed up with them to see what it is all about.

They have about 300 images total.  Leaf you could raise quadruple their images alone.  Let us know how easy the submission process is?  One thing I noticed was they asked their images to be in Adobe RGB, while most other agencies want it in sRGB.

they also don't accept iptc info (halooo ?)

I emailed them but and they said they were working on it.. perhaps in another 2 weeks... They have an uploader program that seems ok  if it accepts iptc.  I guess we will have to wait and see.

They also state they want you to use their keywording tool instead of IPTC.  I don't think their business model is based in reality.  They obviously need to grow their image base but are making it difficult for photographers to submit images.  Maybe they will soon realize that and start making changes that are better for photographers.  Not even Getty makes such demands on photographers, they do all of the keywording for them.  I don't mind submitting to new places, I did with Featurepics, but they have to be reasonable.

Since I have a small image base, I don't mind the IPTC thing just becaseu I don't have a lot of pictures.  I submitted one picture and hopefully it works out.  I'm not the greatest photographer in the world, so we'll see what happens.  I'll let you guys know.  As well, the picture I just submitted there was accepted at Dreamstime and its part of my 10 to shutterstock.  So, hopefully it appeals :)

I'm new with citizen, with around 50 images uploaded, very few rejects so far.

With them being new it will take awhile before a person will know if it's going to make it. So far very few views.

It seems weird to me that they only accept images using Adobe RGB colorspace (not sRGB).  Is that a requirement at a lot of microstock sites?

Have had a few pics there for about  3 weeks - no views on any, looks slowmoving.

I had a sale there last month and today they sent my US$10 to my Paypal account.  It's a good thing that they don't require waiting for US$100 like most of the others!
