I am getting nothing from their URL, I wonder if they have folded.
Can't say I'd be surprised if they went under, what with the changes in policy and what not; probably a sign of floundering due to not enough start up cash to see them through.
In any case always sad to see a business fail, if that is what has happened. RIP

The site is working for me.  Found my images there with my Veer only name....  Guess they have a partnership deal.

Funny, still dead for me, and downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ shows it as down too?

Not working for me. And obviously I'm not the only one:

Down here too.  No great loss if they went under.  I think I will be able to make my next mortgage payment without the $1.25 I've earned there over the last several months since my portfolio went live.   ::)

I can't reach them - and they owe me 31 cents!!!

I keep hoping someone will become a viable challenger - nothing like a healthy competitor to knock some sense into a complacent market leader - but clearly it wasn't them :)

I can't reach Pocketstock by clicking the link above, however I can reach them by typing the whole URL including the "www" part:

http://www.pocketstock.com/

While it's true that most sites work even without explicitly typing the server name, I guess they are not required to.

By the way, I uploaded about 4k images there - all accepted except five. The upload process is easy and fast but... still no sales unfortunately.

Still no go from your link or typing it in with the www. Did a google search and clicked on the link in search results and that gives an "Oops" error from Chrome. I think they're at least offline if not out of business.

I swear I can see their site right now (from Italy). And it's not in cached, since I can use it interactively; maybe it's accessible from some parts of the world only.

Working fine here in the UK (IE9) using both the links in this thread and the one under "low earners" over on the right. Until Trek mentioned it earlier I hadn't realised they were a Veer partner site -all my Veer port is there under the Compass Premium RF badge.
Might be worth mentioning that I am seeing prices in GBP and their offices are in London. Are there perhaps regional sites for Pocketstock? The UK one working and others not? Regards, David.

Not working for me either in California.  Tried both FF and Safari with the same "server/page not found" error message.  Joined at the end of August with no sales to date, so no sleep lost over this agency's possible demise.

Reflecting on it, I think the least they could do if the site is going out of business is send e-mail to contributors letting them know.  They never were great at communicating, but simply disappearing seems a bit lackadaisical to me.

Is this another case of Superhug Syndrome - agency closing without a word, with no mention of where our images are gone? I sincerely hope not.

But if so, I don't think any new agency will be seeing my images in the next few years. It's getting too risky. I'm starting to think a new agency must be around for 2-3 years before I consider them reliable.

It's a sad reflection on our industry.

They are back for me too - and I discovered I've hit the jackpot with a second sale!!

I sold a small for 60 cents total and 24 cents royalty. They make 123rf look generous! Is that better or worse than an XL sale for a 31 cent royalty?

I only have $49.45 to go for a payout :)

I'm trying to leave, it takes 90 days after you tell them.  Sold 1 for a few cents and I will be quite pleased when I no longer have to waste time looking.  I don't like leaving sites but this one doesn't appeal to me anymore.

I'm a bit surprised there aren't more people giving up on them.

I can still access from Safari.

I gave up on them when it took months for my images to get approved.
I still have 41 images in the approval bin and they've been there for 3-4 months at least.

I guess I should just notify them to close my account.

Do they mean, "we sell the same images that are on other sites, where these companies have bought the images"....?

You are right, up and running again, but VERY slow for me. In terms of both site loading time, and sales...

I think they mean "some of the people who set up Pocket stock have sold their images to these companies in the past". Certainly doesn't mean they have shopped at Pocketstock

I sent Pocketstock an email requesting the deletion of my account over 4 days ago, and still no reply from them at all.

Has anyone had success in closing their account there yet?

They don't make it easy to leave.  I think my 90's days notice must be almost up, I can't log in but all my images are still there.  Hope to see them gone soon.

Same here but I terminated just 1 month ago . . . . .  now I can't log in and my images are still available.  I downloaded a Comp (380x249 px) just to see what is available.

Sounds super dodgy. They are partnered with Veer now too, so maybe your files have just been replaced by the partnered versions? We are in the position where we can upload direct to pocketstock and get a terrible RPD and low sales or have work sent there through Veer with even lower commissions, and still low sales.

Veer need to end their partnership with the site, it isn't worth the bad publicity for them.

The number of my images doesn't seem to of changed, I have lots more on Veer, so I don't think these are the mirrored ones.  Hopefully they will be gone soon or I'll have to email them again.

The annoying thing is if you submit to Veer you are still going to end up with your files on there, just getting paid even less through the partner program. I hate sites that don't allow you an opt out, it speaks so badly of what they think about their contributors.

I just sent Pocketstock e-mail requesting my account be closed. Given the 90 days for termination, it will be a year since I uploaded there (June 2012) by the time I leave. I think that's a fair trial, and they're not able to produce. I have a grand total of 55 cent royalties on two sales.

I just received an email if I want to become a contributor. I came here to check them out. They are not even listed with a percentage on the poll. And if JoAnn makes 55 cent in one year, I stand no chance and probably wont bother with them.
