Title: Sales at The3DStudio

Hi all,

after a long time (I think more than a year) I made an image sale at The3DStudio  :)

Now I wonder if it is worth uploading my portfolio there. At the moment I have only a few hundred images there.

Any experience to share? Thanks.

Most of these small sites work out the same. If you double your port now, you might get one sale then every six months, etc.. Either why, you will be waiting a year + for a payout. You decide if it is worth your trouble.  ;)

averaging 2 sales per month, RPD is good, and they autopay at the end of each month.

Obvisiouly a rather slow site. But RPD is high and they pay 60% commission.

Maybe I give a try.

Any experience concerning the tax?. Is it really necessary to obtain a US tax ID number as non-US contributor from a country with a tax treaty with the US?

they started out fine for a  newcomer & the commissions and prices were good, but i havent had ANY sales thru them for over a year now, so i've just given up

I uploaded a bunch there in early 2011 to try to offset my Istock losses and I had a few nice early sales with them but then only a sale every few months for the past year.

it seems kind of troublesome like one require to send a tax form to them or won't get paid..

some agencies got online form that is quick..i don't know why some agencies won't do so.

Are you for real. Isnt the answer in your post? You had ONE SALE in a YEAR and now you wonder if its worth it?!!?

Is it April 1 or am I just missing the point?
