My photos and videos via pond5 are there.

Never realized pond5 also distributes my photos. Should send them more images as well.

I don't upload directly to them but got some sales through Zoonar. Royalties after distribution fee are still rather okay'ish, ranging from 32 eurocents to a few euro's.
Also P5 is distributing images there indeed, but can't really remember getting any sale through P5. (they might not report it as a distribution sale)

Not really worth it if you ask me, but good enough add-on through distribution for those who don't mind taking that route.

I would say that the main focus is on editorial content.
If you can quickly deliver images on current media topics (especially business, politics), you will certainly be in demand by many local online newspapers and magazines (Focus, Handelsblatt, FAZ, Sddeutsche, Spiegel, Wirtschaftswoche, etc.).

I remember for example that a lot of pictures about the insolvency of Signa Holding came from Imago Images.

The sale provisions seems to be quite fair with 50%. However, I have no experience with the agency myself.

I have my photos all (about 25k) at pond5 too and made $13,94 out of 8 photo sales in the year 2023...
I'm afraid it's not worth it at all ;-)

@Stoker2014:
I'm not a member of Imago myself and I think the threshold for being accepted there is quite high.

Have a sunny day@all,
Michael

I did a catchup upload of most of my portfolio to Pond5 in 2020 (as part of a Stock Coalition thing where Pond5 had specifically asked for more photos to build up their collection). I had a small existing portfolio of some PSD templates and other  "specialty" items that occasionally sold (things other sites didn't handle plus you could set your own prices).

My experience has been that Pond5 doesn't sell photos and so I no longer keep the portfolio up to date. Sales are less frequent than at Dreamstime (which is saying something!).

Thank you. I guess my new plan to make millions with images distributed by pond5 is dead now :)

I wanted to apply for imago directly in 2018 but they asked for current interesting editorial content which is not what I usually shoot.
So I did not apply.

But I do sell quite a lot to imago via Zoonar. There I can see which partner bougth my pics and it often is imago.

Imago provides often pictures for newspapers.
