The $ amount can only show up by the end of the month, because of the way they calculate the revenue for each dl per buyer.

What will I get from Vivozoom?

Unlike many businesses, we offer a bi-lateral contract. This means that we cannot change it without your agreement. We also pay our contributors 40% of our receipts. By way of illustration: If a customer pays $300 for a monthly subscription and downloads 100 images, each image generates $3.00 and the photographer will earn a royalty of $1.20 per image (or 40%). However, if that same customer downloads only 10 images then the royalty becomes $12.00 per image.

What we see here is the final point Omega of subscription microstock. After going down all the time, we finally reached the stage of the 0$ download. A new era is born, that of zerostock;)

I have 2 downloads and 0.78$ commission but I can't see which images are downloaded... it's a test, for sure! Portfolios are not build on line!

Interesting, very. So their (secretly kept) reward is 0.38$ per image. They claimed they would be better than Shutterstock, referring to the 0.25$ mentioned at the SS page. Actually, my RPD at SS currently is 0.75$ due to the ODs and the ELs. I'm sorry but I'm not going to sell at 0.38$. Those days are gone.

0.39$, Flemish, not 0.38$. One cent is a big difference hahaha.
But when will VZ launch?
Seems not a very serious thing...

Sorry for not posting... been consumed by a lot of testing and one of the board members dropped me an email 'heads-up'.

We are in a live test with a limited client group and commercial downloads are taking place.  We are also doing some test downloads in-house to validate the payout mechanism.

Early next week, the results of these paid downloads will appear in your Dashboard.  We ran a short-duration subscription for these clients so that we could validate the 40% was being applied accurately across all downloads in a sub.

We have had only one bug so far (related to downloads from a light-box) but I'm sure many more will follow.

We plan to send an update (including the access credentials to the client site to preview the layout) to all contributors early next week. (I'll post a redacted version on the other vivozoom thread on this board when it goes out)

If no show stoppers emerge, we'll open the site in the next 2 weeks.

But we still need more images.   There are no upload limits on our FTP server, so 'one last push' before launch would be great.

By definition, we'll never have nor never want the quantities that other Microstock sites have.  We are not a 'come one, come all' business.  It's all about trust and quality.  The following quote is from one of our alpha-users, a *very* large Chicago-based publisher:

"There's really nice photos on the website and refreshing to see something different.  I'm sure a lot of us have Photodisc pictures memorized by now (!)"

We want to take the best Microstock and place it alongside traditional RF with the traditional RF Warranty.  Hopefully, this is a small indication that we're headed in the right direction.

The best of the best, I guess? could actually work.   But I dont get it why all new agencies want same old stuff as the big 4-5-6???

Its getting way to kebabish... too many fighting over same stuff.

Is the review time going to speed up?  It took weeks for my last submissions to be reviewed.
Thanks

Steve, yes review times will speed up, but I guarantee that we'll never be as quick as many of the other sites.  We have onward legal obligations to fufill by approving an image and this will always take a little longer.

yeah, just to clarify the new passwords were to log into the buyer side of the site, and it appears they are all ready doing preliminary buyer testing with a few clients.  Moneybookers and Paypal are set up with a minimum payout of $50.
