Well, they say they are specifically for southeast asia, so no. I am not from there, and don't have photos from there, so I don't see why I should bother.

They appear to portion out revenue on the basis of portfolio size, not sales volume, which seems insane

They don't say "of what" when they talk about share though. I assume that's the net image price? They have subscriptions that don't roll over for unused downloads, so not sure if Picxy keeps any extra cash.
They're offering bonus payments for uploads, so I guess they're hoping to grow the library that way. That suggests that sales are not all that great yet

If you look at how they structure transactions, they're not an agency; they say the transaction is between you and the licensee.
"THE LICENSEE AND THE CONTRIBUTOR AGREE AND ACCEPT THAT THAT ANY TRANSACTION MADE OVER THE WEBSITE AND THE APP BETWEEN A CONTRIBUTOR AND A LICENSEE SHALL BE BETWEEN THEM AND THE COMPANY WILL NOT BE A PARTY TO ANY SUCH TRANSACTION."

I don't really understand the signup process for contributors - which appears to differ if you're outside India vs. a resident of India. You have to give them your bank a/c details but also need to have an account with a payment processor for when a sale takes place. If you're outside India, they require PayPal as that processor

I don't have content from their area, so it's moot for me, but I would stay well away from something that was structured this way

They seem to be all over the place, getting more and more people on the platform. Plus from the looks of it it seems like a lot of the content they have is exclusive to them, probably from the core team themselves.
How does having a direct sale between you and the end user make life different? Just curious?

The agency takes a chunk of the sale in return for eliminating a bunch of tasks the contributor would otherwise have to do. There are lots of posts here about a recent example of a switch from agency to this notion that the sale is actually between the contributor and the buyer by Envato. Here are a few you could look through if the topic interests you. Bottom line is that for a small potatoes "agency" increasing hassle for the contributor makes it really easy to decide they're no longer worth dealing.
