Started uploading late August: 237 photos online, 10,080 views, 2 cart counts, 0 sales $:-\$
Hopeful though, because others have had sales

I've stopped uploading about three or four days ago. I check the stats twice a day. In 6 hours 20 min I've had 103 clicks on my images.normally when I'm uploading I get around a thousand a day. The viewing takes a huge drop when you stop uploading.

Just when I said no sales, I got my first. $7.20 is certainly a nice commission to get.

I see the same about the views, gbcimages, I think that's because people browse newly uploaded images.

I did not add any Images in September and had no sales, there are about 20,000 assets a week are being added with the recent push into stock imaging, once this settles down Sales should improve.

I am waiting for my Alamy account to be closed, I am evaluating different parts of stock and creating a VA website, in a week or so I will only have images with The3dStudio until I decide on a direction.

My Image sales were not what I would call regular 'microstock images', it would be intresting to hear about the style of images sold, from those with sales.

My sales were, Danger Sign, Cake, Leopard, amur tiger, staring tiger, horse head, wooden toy and three people shots.

yes, i do think there should be some kind of QC . the OP concern is fully justified.
my initial reluctance to contribute was just that. too many little shiny figures flooding the bleeding page

and lots of snapshot family album type bad composition, poor exposure,etc.

if contributors feel this way, surely potential buyers would do too.

Can someone let me know whether is there any quality control in the images uploaded to The3dStudio?
I am new to this agency and I was surprise my few uploads just went straight for display. Other agencies which I also uploaded took days or weeks and some times months to get them approved before they can be accepted for sales. I suppose some degree of vetting may be necessary to keep image to some reasonable standard.

If you have questions about the photo review process, please use the help button on our site or email [email protected] directly as she is the main person in the photo area. One of the differences in our site and others is that products are "live" as soon as you create them. They are reviewed usually within the next 24 hours and they may be removed if necessary or the status may be changed from Editorial if a model release is uploaded--for photos that would require one. Our system is another way we are different from the larger agencies.

Yes, we admit at first we accepted many things that perhaps we should not have or perhaps would not be accepted at another agency. We began with stock photos / images in July 2009 so we are learning as we go but we have made many changes, improvements, upgrades and will continue to do so.

We appreciate all input from our members and the forum members here. But we don't get here to read the posts as often as you all do, so if you have any concerns or problems please also email one of us or use the help button on our site in addition to posting here on the forum.
