Title: Zoonar paid out for closed account with no sales??
Post by: NancyCWalker on March 28, 2012, 07:28
I was with Zoonar until last fall when they introduced a new partner and I became frustrated with not knowing how to opt out of the new partner. I've never had a sale there and canceled my account. Yesterday they sent me $2.45. I tried to log in to find out why, 6 months after my account was closed I was being paid but because my account is closed I can't find any information.

Anyone else close their account and then get paid with no sales?

Unlike other agencies you have to opt in to be included into new partner deals with Zoonar (as far as I know). So you didn't need to close your account. You should try dropping them an email as I have found them very friendly in the past, this is the one I use [email protected].

Maybe they paid for some late reported partner earnings...
But that's a nice surprise, they did pay you instead of pocketing the money  ;)

I had several hundred images there and no reported sales. It's part of why I closed the account. I do appreciate that they were honest in paying me but I have no idea what sold or when it sold. How many other images have been sold since I closed the account? If this was sold prior to the account closure then why was it not listed in sold images? How many other images have been sold that I'm unaware of and can't track?

I think they take 6 months to remove your images (if I remember their contract correctly). So, sales can still be made for 6 months after you "closed" your account. You might find that the account has been closed for 6 months now and that they are paying out any residue left in the account because of the finalization of the closure.
