Title: Zoonar, strange rejections
Post by: Chichikov on December 08, 2015, 02:11
Yesterday I have uploaded on Zoonar around 100 images (all accepted by all other 16 sites where I submit).
Almost 70 of them have been rejected with the reason given:

I.09 There are unwanted objects in your photo
There are unwanted objects such as tree branches or random people in your photo. You can try to remove these objects in software using the retouching tools.

Are they serious?

Nearly all my recent uploads have been rejected! I wouldn't mind too much if they sold some of the accepted pics as I'm still waiting for my first sale after 3 months!

You can't Zoonar compare with Shutterstock or Fotolia! I guess, you will have to wait at least 12 month ore more before you get any sales. Be patient, it's worth it in the end. But then you will get 50 percent of any direct sale of Zoonar and even partner-sales are often much higher as the revenues you get in other agencies (with the exception of the partner Getty, but it's up to you, to opt in or out). The contributor amount is exemplary fair. Can't understand, why people upload their pics f. ex. to agencies like Yay Micro, but do not seek to support fair agencies. And the support of Zoonar is very friendly and you will get always an answer. I am with Zoonar about 5 or 6 years, and I did not regret it.

I also have had an entire batch of rm photos rejected for this "reason". I don't understand what they are trying to say...  :-[

I asked them several times and they never gave me a clear answer.
I suspect that even them don't know what they are trying to say……

What is interesting is that all images rejected for this "reason" were going to be RM. Some were obviously so, with logos and crowds, others were not so obvious, but I am wondering if they are trying to restrict the amount of RM photos in their database. All my RF photos have been, so far, accepted there.

But you know, that RM is not the same as "editorial use"?
