Hi, maybe this is not the right place, but I try.
I want to have a payout from Zoonar, but I get the message that I have to fill in a tax form. No problem, but I really don't know what to fill in. It's starts with a "kenn-nummer" (formulier is in Dutch, but this is no Dutch but German). Anybody has experience with the tax-forms of Zoonar? More than a week ago I asked Zoonar for help, but there is no response...

Had the same problem last year and still don't know which form to fill in. I've emailed Z 3 times but all they say is go to the link with a long list of forms in German. Why can't they just have a specific link like every other site. Lost a chunk from the last payout but it wont happen again for quite a while so maybe by then it will be sorted!
If anyone knows the answer please post.

Ivonne, do you live in Europe? I thought about applying at Zoonar but didn't. I live in Europe and I was told by Zoonar that they don't have the forms and that I have to apply at a government office directly.
-
Well, they have a lot of forms, to become mad :P
Ans yes, I live in Europe, The Netherlands.
-
That is strange. When I asked if they have the forms to fill out on their website they wrote that they don't and that I have to apply directly somewhere at an affordable office. I didn't like that at all. May I ask if it is worth uploading at Zoonar? Can't Google translate the forms for you?

I just found the email from Zoonar. Here is what they have written:
If you provide us the certificate of excemption which you get from the Federal Central Tax Office (Bundeszentralamt für Steuern = BZSt) we will not withhold any tax and pay the full royalties to you. To apply for the certificate of excemption you have to fill out the "licence fees" form (http://www.formulare-bfinv.de/ffw/action/invoke.do?id=010027 (http://www.formulare-bfinv.de/ffw/action/invoke.do?id=010027)) and send it to the Federal Central Tax Office.

If you click on the link there is a version in Dutch on the website. I don't know if it is the same form. Hope it helps.

Thanks HB, I'll give it a go. Been to Amsterdam for 3 days so should be a breeze!
-
:)It's in English language as well on that website.

Well, the Dutch form I tried. It starts with a "kenn-nummer" and no, that's no Dutch, and know idea what they are asking for. Nothing worked there, only error-messages :(
-
Had a look at the form. Kenn-nummer on top of the form stands for ID number and in this case I think it's for the tax office!
-
May I ask if it is worth uploading at Zoonar?
d
I closed my Zoonar account after about 18 months, I had one or two sales. Definitely not worth it for me.
-
you better keep away from Zoonar, these are weird people!

How much tax do they deduct if you don't fill out the forms?

30%

If you're a US citizen, you could just pay the tax then claim it back as a credit when you file your tax form. Not sure how that works in other countries but maybe similar. I have to do that with Canva and DACS, who don't seem to realize that the US has a tax treaty with Australia and the UK, respectively.

Recently trying to get a cash out and realize this issue, so anyone can explain how to submit the form digitally?
