Not for me. Micro stock, by in large, is a quickly dying model. It's all I can do to keep creating content just to maintain my income. I AM NOT ABLE TO GROW my revenue.  Newbies will probably have a false positive when they join as they start with zero images and then when they get a few hundred online they get a few sales and feel it is a success.  You have to put the whole thing in perspective. What are you expecting to get out of it? If a few dollars for beer money then go for it. But if you are looking for a full time income you will likely be trying to push a wet noodle up hill.

Agree totally with Mantis, plus it depends where you live.
I've virtually stopped uploading to iS because non-sub sales and overall rpd are sinking rapidly, yet others are shouting to be allowed to earn 'as low as' 25c to sell editorial on Ft.

Well my goal is such:
Combine a part-time job with my studies and make some extras. I'v found such a job in MS. You experienced guys, assume i'v a port of 1000 'high quality' images in several agencies with good keywordings, how much can that bring me monthly? And if you feel MS is a waste of time and energy, being a graphic designer, how can i make pennies in other ways?

About one year ago you claimed that you can create 2500 cool and quality images by the end of this year. You asked exactly the same question back then, about the sales. So what happened to that plan and how many images do you have now?

I'd quit at that time due to studies
And travel. So after exactly one year(thx for the reminder) i'm
Back again. I'm
Right
Now
With 200 images but still reluctant whether to keep the pace or not.

You asked about other people's earnings repeatedly on Shutterstock forum, then again here a few times, so I remember that. Many people gave you answers and valuable advice already and you didnt even thank them for it. I dont think you are serious with microstock and if 200 new images a year make you feel overdrawn, then it is not for you.

Dude everyone knows you are the best microsocker ever. No need to spread your hate. You could just keep
Scrolling if you hate replying that would be easier on you and everyone else.

:) Im the last one who would ever say to be the best in anything... you are the one who made claims about 2500 quality images. Why dont you just read again the previous threads you started, here and at Shutterstock forum, why are you asking the same question again? Plenty of kind people already answered you and everyone can see how you reacted and what lesson you have learned.

Hi Salahhh

If you feel like you have real talent for drawing and design and you are passionated about it, so much you have to draw every single day, just do it and put a lot of files there.

But, if you just draw occasionally and only simple things - you might be disappointed with results. Nowadays is volume and high quality images.

However, if you have a part time job, and that means, no money worries, then  you can still try designing, but you will have to try harder...Or you could try a different area.

You went away for studies??? What did you go to school for?

Haha living in a world where people easily forgets their bad days. Once they reach far the best thing they are capable of is being egoist and ignore those lower than them. Sometimes actually i like how people publicise what's in their inner side.

Hi salaaaah

Im so newbie i just have 16 images, i had to do other work last 2 months, so in my first 3 months im close to $5, at the begining i believe when others say "you can make a live with microstcok" probably, but when youre starting i guess better have another income.

So obviously im not making enough but i think its fair for almost nothing, at least I learned that works and keeps me in for going forward.

Well, I'm not a professional microstocker: my uploads came from the garbage of my assignment, when I shot something more in the same set or location where I'm working for somebody else. In this way, with a bit more of 1000 images approved and online in five agencies, I can renew my equipment when in needs and pay some advertising to reach my real customer. Nothing more.
But I shot almost eighty thousand pictures per year and I have to keyword all for my purposes. Send some of them in MS is not a job, but just a couple of click per batch more.

well, i tried some few first steps in 2009 at Ft with no intention to make you know big money, but it was always enough dollars just to buy some graphix for my composing hobby and some retouching trainings. maybe a 20 USD/year with about 75 pictures.

last year i decided to make a (small) business out of it with mainly studio productions. my target for this year were 1000 images but I actually have just 477 online. due to several influences and time killer jobs... well but for this first year i am quite sure to make a 1000 euros in total.

at Ft i have a port of 477 images. at Ss i began in april and now have there a port of 365 images. After Ss sales grew quite fast they are actually at the same income as fotolia for the whole year so far.

other agencies i supply are dreamstime, deposit, 123, bigstock, colourbox (all 250-290 images) and a few steps at istock, but thats peanuts and i think totally complicated with their deepmeta. i also supllied to veer, pond5, bildunion, canstock, but some reasons it was not as convenient for me as at other agencies and due to low or no revenue i did not supply more

in a few days i will get silver status at fotolia and i am quite sure to break the 500$ at shutterstock, too. so next years grow is sure for me.

so my RPI is at appr. 3$ actually

Isn't it embarrassing to ask for others ports without showing yours?

so my RPI is at appr. 3$ actually

I think this is a good RPI. Probably it's a good idea NOT to show your port, IYKWIM....

RPI is usually stated monthly, not yearly

I know people who earn

7000-8000$ with 36.000 images

700-900$ with 2700 images

700$-800$ with 1400 images

500-600$ with 2500 images

100$ with 6000 images

1.000 1200 $ with 40.000 images
