Title: Best for Editorial ?
Post by: scooty on September 06, 2013, 11:17
Hi - another newbie quickie

Is there an agency that people think is best for editorial content?

Also do you think there is any benefit in going Exclusive with that agency for editorial?

Thanks for everyyones help?

I'm not sure there are any micro agencies with which you can go "exclusive for Editorial"; that certainly includes Alamy, which is mid-stock and has no exclusivity programmes.
Do you mean 'hot news' or 'secondary editorial'?

Thanks

Both 'hot' and 'cool' (secondary) - I see Alamy pics quite often being credited with The Telegraph and Indepedent in the UK press

I didn't even think about none of them taking exclusive editorial

Be aware that lots, not all, of the UK newspapers are in Alamy's Newspaper scheme, which means micro-style prices.
You can opt out of the newpaper scheme, whereby they won't see your images at all (confirmed officiall last week).
On the other hand, as editorial at Alamy is always RM, you can get repeat uses   :D, but on the third hand, reuses are discounted.
