That would be an utterly crazy thing to do - like using a fine paintbrush to sweep up in a concert hall. Write a few lines of VBA code to automate it. Googling should give you sample code to do this.
Believe me, you can. I have done this on many projects.If there is a problem in the quality of extracted embedded images then the first part of the code should save the Word document as a web page (.htm .html). Images are then extracted automatically from the doc and stored in <DocumentNAME>_files in the same location as the saved web page.
