Title: File size and payout
Post by: Cheap Monk on February 14, 2016, 12:08
Hi everybody.

I was wondering if there is any increase in the payout (total amount received) when you sell a 200MP file vs say a 24MP one. Does the payout plateau at a given size? or does keep adding? I am talking about both Micro (shutter, istock, fotolia, etc) and macrostock (getty, alamy, stocksy, etc).

Any answer will be welcomed. I  have tried to find info about this question in the stock sites and without previous registration and hoop -jumping is really hard to find an answer.

Thank you for your patience

It depends on each site and how they do the licensing.

Thanks for the info. Am I right to assume that microstock main companies (Shutter, IStock, Fotolia, etc)  tend to cap the file size/price?
