Title: Hello All!
Post by: allwet on January 02, 2013, 14:25
Hi Everyone!  I'm a newbie to the microstock world and thought I would introduce myself.  I currently have some images that have been selling in the Getty/Flickr collection and have started to slowly upload to second tier micro agenices.  I'm keeping my expectations low until I build up some inventory and get accepted to Shutterstock.

This forum has some great nuggets of information and look forward to participating.

Hi, and welcome. If your images are that good, that they were picked from Flickr by Getty then you might want to consider selling your images as RM rather than RF.

I wish!  I've found that Getty/Flickr is a whole different animal than microstock.  Images sell for considerably more than microstock and they seem to appreciate creative content more than commercial content.  I have lots of photos that Getty won't even touch that may eventually sell in the microstock market.  I've also looked into joining
Alamy for editorial shots.

I'm just a hobbyist looking to make a few extra bucks.  Thanks for the welcome!
