Hi all people here :)
I'm new and i'd just like to introduce myself...
My name is Lucy, and I'm currently living in the southern tip of India, on the coast of the Arabian Sea.
Which sounds nice, but in reality means that it's now raining a lot.
So forums are great :)
Im also secretly hoping there are people here from my old forum... because I miss them all a lot and it's only been a day ....

Hi Lucy, welcome. I assume your 'other' forum was SS?
Edit: I've just seen your other post, sorry missed that!

Hi Lucy,
Welcome here on the forum ...
Miss you at SS....

Welcome Luce

In italian luce luce luce would be light light light, which i guess is the meaning of the name Lucy. Welcome to MSG lucy of the light ! Never been to SS nor India, so it's going to be nice hearing from you here on this forum.
Enjoy !

I-m really sorry to see that you were banned from SS forums. You were giving Bichon a run for his money as being the funniest person on the forums. I hope they let you back soon as your posts will be missed by many. x

Ah, this sounds interesting. ;D
I have been banned on some forums too for my big mouth but not here yet. Yeah, Bitchon... I like him on SS. About India, well all I remember is rain.
-
Welcome to the forum. I hope they let you back in the SS forums soon. That picture of Bichon's mother on a solar panel nearly killed me.

Welcome Lucy!

'ello 'ello 'ello, another little tempest in the teapot? ;)
Welcome Lucy !

Stop making me smile so hard - my head's about to crack open.
It's really nice to see familiar faces. And thanks for the warm welcome everyone...
They say Om Tat Sat here. I have no idea what it means, but it's nice and it sounds right.

Om Tat Sat sounds like Sankrit mantra for purification. Much like the arabic greeting Essalam, Mashallah, etc.. which praises The Almighty. Or the latinos "Vaya Bien", "Que Dios Acompane",etc.. it's a profound way to greet / take leave of each other.

I'm glad it was spot on then.
Pretty fascinating. I don't know much about the sanskrit syllables except that Kali had 50 odd around her neck (as skulls who knows why). And that the Hindus think everything originates from these sounds. sounds like string theory to me. One time the newspaper 'the hindu' published this headline: 'string theory has been disproved.' And that was it. One line. I think they were having a little joke.

Glad you're here. MSG has all the latest news.

Hello Luceluceluce and Welcome!
Just went to SS Forum, and people there seem to be missing you too, if that's any comfort.
Enjoy

Common sense and a sense of humor
are the same thing,
moving at different speeds.
A sense of humor is just common sense,
dancing.

Last weeks when I was reading on the SS forum, everyone seem to be a little bit bored. "Show me your last download", "What is your last upload"....etc. ::)
I think everyone has been awaked now! SS throwed a really big stone into the pond! ;D
There are topics started in all kind of languages!
Nice to see you here. You brought a lot of humor to SS forum...
Hope you will be back there soon.
-
Hi, and welcome :)
-
I know collette, it's been really nice seeing all those languages on the forum... i'd forgotten that we were from all over the world.
it has felt nice to be together with Japanese and serbs and poles and brazilians and germans and russians and malaysians and french and chinese and indian and canadian.... even though the reason we were together wasn't the funniest one....
But I seem to have that british problem of being genetically incapable of caring enough to learn another language : ( It's amazing that other people put up with us....

Hi Lucy, miss you already at SS. Is that a permanent ban? I've only participated in the SS forums before now, because everyone there is great, and it's always fun and/or interesting conversation. But I think I'll have to join you (and everyone else) here at MSG more often. Broader perspectives, neutral ground, more info overall.
So, technically, I'm a newbie here. But I already know a lot of you. (And many of you are probably now shaking your heads and wishing I hadn't discovered this site ;-)

Eva_ers (i know your secret consonant)
I just gave you 6 smileys in another thread. You were due 6 more here, but unfortunately, upon recent advice, these will be subject to a 30% witholding tax. So you only get 4.
:) :D :) :D
You may reclaim your other 2 smileys upon application via the relevant department (that's also me! so, don't worry, your application will probably be approved)
