As a newbie it´s extremely important to me to be able to see how many views my image got.

The agencies I prefer is..............

Visco easy to see views and I got some views
123RF can´t see any views at all how to handle this?
Bigstock I have to click on every image very time consuming
Fotolia easy to see views and I got some views
Dreamstime easy to see views and I got 2 sales
Canstock east to see views but only one view on each image

I am only 2 months old to this "business" so I think it´s extremely important to check the views. After all I´m into a learning period.
At this stage I doesn´t expect sales.

I found this microstock group very supportive so I will be happy for all responses.

One can ofcourse sit there all day long, looking, viewing, if no sales, its pretty uninteresting.

And you don't get money from views. What counts is how many sales you get. Views / download hardly ever correlates to anything that can be predicted.

Whilst views can be a good indicator of search volume when considering a reasonably large collection of images (particularly when looking cross-topic/cross-portfolio), for a portfolio of less than (at least) 1000 images, I would ignore it completely.

Spend your time on better things like better quality images, more relevant and targeted metadata and a larger portfolio.

And I would suggest concentrating on sites that have more sales and action. You seem to have picked sites based on whether you can see views per image - I have not heard of Visco, and Canstock is a nice agency (good for very quick and reasonable reviews), but very up and down in terms of sales. Try to get onto Shutterstock and watch to see which ones get sales.

On some sites views mean different things and are counted differently. On Dreamstime views is not a valid criteria to use to assess the worth of any image. The view counter is not increased when a guest views an image (they have to be registered and logged in). It isn't counted if it is linked to an outside source (facebook, blogs, a private site) - that will give an image many more views that are not counted. If an image appears many times in the similar images area on DT because of really great keywording views will increase but that might not translate to sales.

OK ! I will take your advice and go on without paying so much attention to views.

No I don´t pick sites based on where I can see views. I try to concentrate on only those six. Because it´s overwhelming to learn more right now.

I try shutterstock but still I haven´t pass the 7 of 10 test.

Bobbi you spooked about a portfolio of 1000 images. My goal now is one with 50 image.
But I already have reach my first goal – to produce image with enough high quality to get approved.

My next goal is to produce images with even higher quality.
The next goal is to produce images with even higher quality. And so on…………..
Maybe after that, I will focus on sale. When I know if I am good enough.
