I've been a microstocker for years and have 2 agencies I use.(Bigstock and Istock). I want to branch out and get on some other sites as well. That being said is there a program that will allow you to upload once and infiltrate every stock agency you submit to? Also, since Fotalia and Dreamstime keep rejecting me is there another couple of sites anybody would recommend?

I use plain old FTP. Once you have your images on an agency's server, the submission process goes from mildly cumbersome (Dreamstime, Fotolia, Deposit) to effortless (123RF, Zoonar, StockFresh). That assumes of course that you're inserting title, description and keywords into the image files' IPTC data.
For new images, I upload to my web host and then use the FTP command to submit to the first agency. Whatever is accepted there I then send on to the rest. That way I use my web provider's much better bandwidth for the vast majority of the uploads. Then I go to each site and complete the submission process. I have the uploading scripted, so it's easy and relatively goofproof.

If you can't get in an easy agency like DT (amazing since SS is harder), why not put up a few pictures here full-size for critique?

There is a free version I think, and then if you want more features you can buy the professional version.
I use it for my keywording because it lets select and synchronize the data to different photos you select.
It also lets you upload to different sites you select.

Yes. Just disconnect from your current server and go to the next one. The files to upload will be added to the queue, embedded with site/usr/pwd. Basically, you can let it all run overnight if you're on a slow connection. The failed transfers go in the failed queue, and you can reschedule them the next morning.

Yes, FileZilla (see higher). It's Open Source (free) and well maintained. I found private solutions like Cushystock a bit buggy, but that's years ago. Why pay for something if there are mainstream free solutions around? Keep It Simple. ;)

I'll answer the easy one. IPTC is the International Press Telecommunications Council. They defined a standard set of metadata that can be stored in image files. These can include image title, description and keywords. All the stock agencies (at least all the ones I know) will retrieve IPTC data from images you upload, so you don't have to specify all that stuff one at a time. There are many different applications that let you specify IPTC data, including various Adobe products. I edit mine with Graphic Converter, a very nice application for Mac OS. I'll let the Windows folk tell you about their favorites.

Thank you, I use mac too. :D But What do you do for upload model release? And choses the categories part? Are you do it one by one? And link the lightbox?

There's not a lot of consistency among agencies for categories, so I handle those one at a time. And with the exception of iStock (which is exceptional in oh so many ways), every agency lets you upload a given release once and then select it from a menu for each image. Zoonar's also an exception; they just have you mark that there's a release available, but you don't have to send it to them.

Woooa, only istock is the one give me all this pain. I really need to look in different agency.
