Title: PantherMedia Difficult to Submit
Post by: tab62 on February 14, 2011, 13:32
:-\ Is it just me or is Panthermedia difficult to upload files? Right off the bat they don't import your keywords that are in the file info thus you have to redo them. Than if you don't go exclusive they kind of add in few more hoops to jump Thu- So far I have not been able to load a file...

Thanks

Tom

it is difficult in the sense that you must choose categories and tick a lot of boxes on site to complete submissions

but IPTC keywords should import correctly - no problems for me

basically the contributors interface is terrible, the website designer should be fired.

It is a non-user-friendly interface, you have to browse through a lot of tab, scroll a lot, guessing what the terms.. blah blah..and you still don't get what you want.

Submission is timeconsuming. Recently I found out that reviewers cannot read the description from the metadata. So if there is information of any importance for the editors or for the buyers you do better to add that in the 'message to image editors' section. Information about how the image is made (long exposure, shallow dof...) helps also. Otherwise you often have to redo submissions from the red/green section.
