I have a couple of questions about release.

All the sites seem to have forms, but which is the best to use... ie simplest and least scary language?  I don't want to scare off potential models with long complicated forms.

Also how do you upload the forms?  I don't have a scanner, so is a photograph of the form OK?

I think I'm using Yuri's. Although I made some formatting changes to make it fit better on the page and look a bit friendlier.

For DT I sometimes use their form, you only need one release for a number of years. So for anyone you shoot regularly (like family) I just use their form. If it keeps them happy........

as far as uploading, I do have a scanner, although it's a pita cos it's my husband's laser printer bw scanner, so I have to go outside to his office (on our property still) and scan and then email (or dropbox it). I can't see why a proper photo wouldn't be accepted, a phone pic would probably not be sharp?

And to add a complication, I need it in Latin American Spanish....

Years ago I took the Getty release and modified it to be generic and apply to the laws of my State.  Since then I've only had to tweak it occasionally to keep up with any changes in agency rules (except for IS's latest changes when I decided not to upload anything to them that needed an MR).  It's never been rejected anywhere I've had occasion to submit it.

And yes, most agencies want them in English.  It's fine to have one in another language so the model can read and understand what they are agreeing to; but, the document submitted to the agencies must be in English.  I'm sure there are some minor agencies in other countries that are fine with releases in their native language; but, all the major agencies want them in English.

So a question about iStock/Getty releases. Does anyone know if any other stock sites accept the iStock and or Getty releases? I have been exclusive at iStock, but have pondered going non exclusive. Problem is a lot of my images have these old releases. Has anyone ever used their old releases at other sites?

I'm new to posting here so if this isn't a good place to ask this question feel free to let me know. Also, if this question has been answered elsewhere feel free to direct me there. I did a search but didn't see anything.

I use modified iS release. Only modifications i have made is to remove the iS logo and changed the country. Works everywhere.

What I like about the istock release is, it is in multiple languages.  I am thinking of using it and keeping the logo on top for submission to all agencies
