I have a lot of pics on alamy and many views but no sales. Is it slow to get moving compared to SS where I sell almost daily?
-
It's pretty slow all the time. And of course volume and breadth of subject play a role on sales as well.
-
^^ What he said. It certainly doesn't sell in micro volume.

I've noticed a sharp decrease in sales volume at Alamy over the past few months. Not sure if this is due to changes in their search, competition, or what.

Yep, I'm actually totally disappointed by Alamy, I've 18 zooms in 1 month and no sales at all, usually I have 1 to 3 sales a month.
I've uploaded many new RM photos but It's getting worst everyday, I lost my motivation for uploading there and I'm maybe planning to keep my work for Offset. The last 3 months were really slow.
-
Yes quite slow this year... was thinking of Offset as well but if I understood correctly they are RF only...

If I am not mistaken they did alter their search to favor their high end collections. And those collections cover just about every subject most of us submit. It was posted here last year that they were making changes that would affect us regular folk.

I've had the opposite experience, increasing regular sales month on month for 2013. I'm up to 1,000$ in sales per month. Nothing special about my work, about 4,000 online. A curious beast this Alamy one.
-
I'm waiting 3 months and going to close my account there if nothing move.

I seem to be chugging along. Last month, more sales, less money; this month fewer sales, but higher values. But it averages out monthly. Nothing to write home about, but I'm staying for now - often the better-priced sales (relatively, I'm not talking huge amounts!) would only get one or two sales on iS, so I'm quids in. :)
