Morning all

Yesterday, i received the monthly newsletter and something caught my eye that led me to extended licenses.

My questions are:

1) Should I be selling my images with ELs?

2) Will it harm sales?

3) With regards to Shutterstock, IStock and Dreamstime is there somewhere you can set this? I've seen it on Fotolia but haven't spotted it on the other three.

Thanks

Jools

I think that almost everyone sells EL. There are months when ELs make about 20% of my income.
At Shutterstock you can allow Enhanced License in "Resources" - "Your Account", at Dreamstime by checking "Web Usage" and "Print Usage" boxes when you submit image (or edit image afterwards). I'm not sure about iStock but I think that there is no possibility NOT to sell EL.

Thanks for that! I'll go have a poke around on the sites and adjust accordingly :)

Yes, I'm pretty sure that it's compulsory on iStock nowadays. They used to let us opt in, either all our files or on an image-by-image basis, but that option has been taken from us. Didn't bother me as I have all opted in, but some other people had indicated a preference that certain files weren't available as ELs.
