I 've just found this article from petapixel,  which would confirm certain rumors concerning the D850's specifications :

https://petapixel.com/2017/08/11/nikon-d850-slides-leak-confirmed-specs-features/

I have a D800e, and i'm thinking to upgrade my gear. Here are the specs who interest me more particularly:
  • 45.75MP FX full frame CMOS sensor
  • 4K UDH video recording in FX with no crop (but how many fps ?)
  • Focus stacking
Of course, it will also depends on the the price...
Any thoughts ?

"Yes", if you can afford it for your own personal satisfaction sure. But for the micro-stock business "no" since you have more than enough camera.

Thanks for your answer.
Actually, i'm starting to do videos, but i would like to shoot 4K(not timelapse), and the d800e can't do that.
About the number of pixels, 30 mp and more allow cropping (for distant subjects) or downsizing for better sharpness.

It will probably have 4K@30fps max, otherwise they would already give some information about it, because it would attract more videographers.

Heard it might even be 8K on that camera-  I had a similar situation.   My Canon 5DS-R (50 mp) only had 1080p video thus I got the Canon 5D Mark IV for it's 4K video plus a good back up camera at 30 mp besides all my lens work on both cameras.  I caution you on videos sales- I spent about $4,500 on the new video camera and so far my sales have been a lousy 5 videos for about $200 overall. I think they are good videos - I am on the first page of Adobe Stock on most of them! I fear that the videos are as difficult if not more than the images.

Sensor noise. Does it match or beat Sony's AR7II? All those other features are useless to me and what I shoot.  A 47mp sensor with low noise at 3200 ISO would make me an owner.
