Title: Ad Referral Program - WidgetBucks
Post by: stormchaser on January 21, 2009, 02:42
I recently stumbled upon an ad referral program called Widgebucks. It has been outperfoming Ad Sense and the ad content is customizable, meaning that for a photography site, you'll get actual camera deals & stuff not goofy weight loss schemes.

If anyone wants to give it a try here is my referral link - yes it does have a referral program.

How is your statistic so far? And how much traffic do you have on your site where you place the widget?

I rarely look at real traffic stats. I have 3 and they are blog type sites, one photo related, and two that are food related. I really base the popularity on how many people link to them and how many comments I get back. For the past month, return from WB has been double that of AdSense. And the referrals on WB have been good too. Similar results recently for someone I know who has a free blog template site.

Ok. I am giving it a try as you can see it in the right sidebar of my blog: http://photoinfos.blogspot.com/

Well you certainly seem to be an advertising mini mogul over there.

My own trial is doing well with the food blogs. I just placed the photo one up today. Just got a little behind with things - backed up with a major client project and it's been nothing but a headache.

The WB service is friendly enough and there's nothing lost by trying. On my food blogs, I set it up to do small appliances. Pretty happy with it. On Goog Ads, the crawler saw food and I was getting nothing but weightloss ads. Weight loss a big industry yes, but very tiring because of all the scam products.
