I have decided to make a trip from Singapore to Sydney - will be there on November 11th and going to the U2 concert on Monday 13th before flying back on Tuesday. Would be cool to meet up with any fellow stockers on Sat or Sun. Not sure whether I will be bringing all the gear yet but I expect so, so if you want to go and shoot some of the sights of Sydney would appreciate a guide. Also, any advice on cheap but good hotels much appreciated.

It would be a pleasure, but... I live in Paris !
So if you decide, on the way back home, to have a stop in Paris, feel free to drop me a line.
What ? Paris is not exactly on the way from Sydney to Singapore ? Well, you have to cross the equator anyway ;)
Have a nice trip

Sorry to see no Sydney folk amongst us. Been there a couple of times.
I would recommend getting the bus out to Manley beach then catching the manley Ferry back to downtown so you will have sumptuous views of the harbour, bridge and opera house (weather permitting). The bridge and shore front (which hasn't been covered in condos) is also very scenic
Hotels I am el cheapo usually hostels or friends spare rooms/floors.
but avoid hotels in Kings Cross as like its London's namesake is the red light district/junkieville unless this is what you really what to photograph.

Sounds like you should be running Stock photography seminars
