There is one loan I contributed to and it has not been yet funded, only two days left. Anyone wants to join me?

$925 to go now... Not very promising. It's curious, because the "partner" has a good record, but then it is also relatively new in Kiva.

so this site is like a lending site.. anyone can explain more? it looks like some people who needs the load is not educated nor know how to use computer, so how he or she is there?

it seems we got paid back? so it is only a site to help others in finance?

Kiva is a Micro Loan site.   You can read about the concept here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micro_loans (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micro_loans)

And yes, people do pay them back.  Then you can relend the money to other people. 

I just see it as a way to give opportunity to someone that needs it, and a way to demonstrate gratitude for the opportunities I've had.

Great! However, US$700 still missing and there is just one day left. I guess the loan will not be funded, but at least the guy has already gotten his loan even without Kiva's support.

mtkang, there are "partners" acting between the people and Kiva. These partners are supposed to be agencies that not only lend the money and receive the payments, but also guide the people in their businesses.
