Although we think your image is nice (for an amateur), we regret it does not reach our level of esthetic excellence.

Note: some words have been replaced to avoid infringement of intellectual property (ie. rejection notice owned by certain esteemed reviewer)

"Erupting volcanoes are a very well covered subject in our data base or the subject of your image is too specific. We are looking for images that exceed the technical quality and creativity of the images already online. Please take a few minutes to browse through the best selling images online (on this subject) and go deeper, play, have a more creative, more personal approach to it, like extinguishing the volcano, girls with headset playing on top in the lava, the volcano top covered with a hardhat or handholding businessmen dancing around the base cheering and waving fire extinguishers."

rofl, you just kill me, cevapcici

2 additional warnings:
- make sure you get a IP release (headsets, extinguisher,etc),
- if you are going to depict a religious maiden sacrificial rite,  some countries banned virgin sacrifice in volcanos a century ago :P

I think eruptions are generally rejected because of noise.

Don't forget the goldfish jumping into and out of the lava.

You have got too many clouds. All the best stock pictures have a single fluffy white cloud in the sky.

rejects all.
reason: we have too many of these type of images, try to think out of the box.
suggestion:  model taking the leak into the volcano

model release:  not required for silhouette or partial lower body shots.
(note: some site may differ on MR requirement )   ;)

We regret to inform you that we cannot accept your submission, entitled Erupting Volcano for addition to the library for the following reasons:

We found the lighting of your molten lava to be too harsh and contrasty. Technical aspects that can affect the overall quality of lighting are: flat/dull colors, blown-out highlights, harsh reflection, shadows or lens flares. These can all limit the usefulness of a file.

The execution of eruption contains stray areas that are either too molten or too solid.....(no resubmit).

Madeladinha, looks like you released a monster  ;D
But it's all good fun. I enjoy the funny responses you got.

My rejection reason is:

Although we find your photography excellent, you could improve this image if you had waited for the right lighting.

 ;)

I must say that at SP the response was very different.  A lot of people question the image, whether it is a HDR or a montage and if so it should not have been posted in a "scientific" site (as if NASA images are not edited themselves).  Ok, SP doesn't have site inspection, so people are less neurotic about it (although they are neurotic about ratings).   ;D

I liked it, nice shot whether it's all one or a composite. Here's the agency review, which goes with the rest of them above. Probably the shadows in the front are "poor lighting"

Your image did not meet our technical qualifications.

The image contains one or more technical problems:

    * Blurry or out of focus
    * Over/Under exposure
    * Framing problem
    * Over or under saturated colors
    * Problems with contrast
    * Noise or Pixelation
    * Quality of routing
    * Interpolation problem
