Don't get me wrong I have nothing, absolutely nothing against SYS, but 15 out of 20 threads are about SYS.
So, maybe just maybe it's about time to change the name from MSG to SYS group (meeting place for SYS photographers)
I have no intention to offend or provoke anyone but SYS  help and forum pages are linked to MSG.
Best,

your post is of zero value as we know that it is possible to ignore any board you don't like..

hiding all symbio threads is just one click away..

Best,

You can go to your settings and hide all the SY threads if you wish. Lots of people have, I'm sure.

Actually its going in one of two directions soon:

In either case I'm sure you'll see less threads soon.

There are many more threads because people are writing about it and care. You do provoke and offend for no reason.

To me, the value of all these SYS posts is to continually remind me of how time consuming and painful it is to run your own sales site. Getting it to work is just the beginning, then you have to drive traffic to it. And, if you make sales, you then have to deal with the retail customers on a micro level. Whining, sniveling complainers who want something for nothing. I know that's pretty much a description of micro stock, but at least I don't have to talk to them. I'm sure even Yuri Arcurs found out that running your own site is no simple task.
For those of you who like it, and make it work, you have my respect. But i don't envy you.

Should I post how much some of our websites make? :D Just like microstock in general...who wants to put that stuff out in the open?

I don't really like the SYS acronym can we find something else?

Also for there's a small bit of truth to the previous comment ...

There's NOTHING easy about microstock. Your selling air. Its not sustainable. The most you can do is adapt. Selling on your website just takes you out of the pond and puts you in the ocean. The new environment is extremely unfamiliar.

Also the whole "how much work it is" is really just a fact of business. Once you stop adapting its time to accept your going to fall behind. Microstock fostered hopes of uploading your photos and retiring. At least thats what a lot of people thought of doing... Sadly nobody realized it was just a new beanie baby craze, for highly professional people.

Not to derail thread ... back to subject. Yes ... this little project should probably move soon, or perhaps even be slown down a bit. Every time something new is released this happens. It will be a loonnggg time though before I make anything new...can't speak for other coders. You'll have your forum back soon :D

There is lots of discussion on the topic because it is related to microstock and many people here are interested in it.

Like others have said, you can easily ignore the boards if they aren't of interest to you.  Here is a direct link to do so

If you are bored by these threads, as I was, you have just to disable Symbiostock in the search page http://www.microstockgroup.com/search/

If there are many Symbiostock threads it means that this is what the microstock community is interested in.
If you want to change the proportions of threads you can start your own interesting threads that are not related to Symbiostock. As many as you want. You started one now but your post wasn't liked very much. I'm sure you can do better than that.

I don't have a Symbio site. Maybe I will have one in the future or not, but I find Symbiostock very interesting philosophically, because its model is based on cooperation rather than on competition.
I want to keep an eye on Symbiostock and see how it develops and I don't have time to follow other forums.
Keep those Symbiostock threads coming.
