Deleting Facebook

Chichikov:
Yesterday I have downloaded my (supposed to be ) whole Facebook profile following the instructions here:

Then I have had a big surprise, in my profile appear all my phone contacts, with all their phone numbers, even names of people not being in my phone contacts, but only in my computer, and not being my "friends" on Facebook.

Now I wonder how many other information not appearing in my profile they can have (use, rent, sale…)

cobalt:
No.

Facebook is very useful and most of my friends/family are there, plus I can follow newspaper articles or themes I am interested in. And then there are all kinds of useful facebook groups.

The interface is ugly but it has critical mass and I find instagram very boring and twitter is something i use only for politics.

Yes it is useful some time!

There I can keep contact with my friends and my family all over the world, and that is good.
There are also interesting groups; I have found groups about plants, insects and birds where they can identify anything in minutes - very useful really.
This is the attractive part…

But there is a great hidden part, and this is dangerous.
As they say, "if it is free… you are the product"

Also remember the E. Snowden quote:
"Arguing that you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say."

Yes Facebook can be good, in surface… but beyond?
Also drugs can be good, they make you feel good, happy, stronger… some time……

Do you have the names? It would be very useful for me as well. Thanks!

I don't mind Google having all my data, they have it anyway with Adsense and all their services I'm using.
Facebook is a real poison, people lost their mind shouting out to the world all their family problems, what they eat, when they sleep......

Last time I wanted to check out a link someone sent me, I couldn't even sign in, I forgot my pass. Then they were asking for a phone number. I gave them the wrong number, how could I remember which number I gave them many years ago. After that, they were asking for a government ID which was the end of our relationship.
Now I can't even see what data they have about me.
