Will not be coming. Just in case you wanted some solace about the Solstice...

Hopefully if someone reading this finds some peace and relief, it will make their holiday season better?

Great! Now I have to buy presents! I had told everyone that the end was 21st thus no reason to get anyone a present!

11:20 in which time zone? I have to get ready. There is a Christmas breakfast at office scheduled for tomorrow, I wonder if I really need to buy anything for it? :)
I think I will photograph the last sunset today! Just in case. This photo will be worth a lot in the post-world market. :))

Plus tomorrow is my sister's birthday, so a rush on her prezzies too.  ;) ;D

The time zone question is very pertinent. I need to put on some sunblock in time, because where I might be going there will be long queues in somewhat of a heat wave...  ;D

Well, the tourists are flocking in and lining up to spend money at Copan in Honduras.  The Hondurans are "reluctantly" taking all that tourist money as a hedge against a possible non-event.

Is that where the end starts or where the end ends?

I have bought a pump, so I can pump the water out of the old German bunker I have in my backyard.

It is a good thing that the water is not frozen.
And yes, true, I have a bunker in my backyard.

If I were just a bit more insane than I am, I would definately be a doomsday prepper. Its fun to collect all these guns and wolftraps and to dig holes, and armour up old schoolbusses and fill them up with raisins and maizeflour and then bury them underground.

11:11 UTC (eleven eleven Oh No!)  And the first major land mass will be Australia at 3:11AM their time. In Kiritimati this happens on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 1:11:00 AM

Here's the pre-release from Nasa. I'll give a summary. It's a new birth, not an end. Something positive, not negative.

When your car hits all zeros does it stop running or turn into a new cycle of numbers. Many people celebrate that event?

its 15.32 here.

Ok it's December 22 now. This just in from 123rf, "neither Mayan predictions or God will be able stop us cutting royalties next year!"  ;D

I'm just kidding by the way, they didn't say that...

..and also I think we've been a bit unfair on the Mayans because as far as I know, they only predicted the start of a new era.

"If the Mayan tribes that invented these sophisticated calendars and theories were alive, they would have been celebrating with dance, music, food, rituals and joy, basking in the pure happiness of the start of yet another era of pure living and experience, not death, doomsday and destruction."
