I am so disappointed, because I have been waiting to buy a 5d and a 70-200 f4 IS but I was expecting a price cut after xmas (at least on 5D)
today I checked it was just the opposite as  canon's cash back deal was over and as a result  now  prices £100(pounds) higher for each item (I am talking about UK prices)
anyone heard of a new cash back deal coming soon?or  price cut
I wish I could buy  from the US:(

i think the new 5D is rumored to be due to be released in February isn't it?  in which case the prices on the 5D may be reduced then.

Do you have any American friends? I know I've shipped things for friends I went to college with. They bought them online shipped them to me, then I shipped the things to them. By marking it as a gift they avoided the VAT.
