Before anyone takes this seriously, it's a screen capture out of a video, and if I didn't tell you, no one would have known it was me.

See the guy in white in the upper right, standing at the edge of the track, on top of the tire wall. (I do get some great places to observe from?) Want to be working near the action? 8)
Good weather all weekend, one race was delayed and then cut short one lap when it started to drizzle, but it was all pretty good for three days. AMA Superbikes if you are interested. (like Warren might be?) AMA Pro Superbike and AMA Sportbike - http://moto-racing.speedtv.com/ama-superbike/ (http://moto-racing.speedtv.com/ama-superbike/)

Primo spot to shoot from! No wonder you have great photos in your port.

Might as well explain.
Not working photo unfortunately. Safety Team Observer. "JAFO" Camera was in the van. Although I did do a remote and did snap a few, it's not a good situation for making pictures to market. I should get to looking at the remote shots later today.
Here's what it looks like from where I'm standing. Not an exciting stock shot. Nice view, fun working, close-up to the action.... just not something that a buyer would want, when there are much more interesting angles.

I recently did a motocross race "sitting down." I liked it. Still waiting for the publication. :P

I knew you would find the thread eventually. :)
AHRMA this weekend, three days. JAFO again, not photo, but if we're lucky the rigs and monkey's will be out on track. Otherwise lots of smoke, some nice smelling castor oil instead of synthetic and people having fun. I get paid to watch, which could sound kind of kinky in other areas? ;)

race; I missed an event this past weekend that I would loved to have attended. How far are you from Unadilla, NY?
Here's a link to the Legends and Heroes site:

If you get a chance to network with "Alex Moroz" you should. I think they also make appearances at the AHRMA road race events?

As a safety worker we get to show up first, 1/2hr to and hour, before the riders and teams, meet and go out to our stations. (much like being media photo where the meeting for a Noon race is often 7AM. They like to make sure people are serious and not just fans looking for a free ticket) Then the participants arrive, have a nice day of it, while we're watching.
For lunch there's usually touring where people pay to ride on the track and donate to some charity. We stay on station, to watch them and make sure they are safe. On a good day, we get free lunch! (and all the water we can drink?)
After they are all done, we get to come back in, return our equipment and check out. By then the participants are probably in town having a cocktail or dinner.
So seeing someone will happen as they go past on track and I haven't had an entry list for AHRMA in two years. LOL I may try to beg one again, so I can tell what's out there.
