Title: I wanted to show you my music
Post by: Dreamframer on September 16, 2010, 14:09
Hi everyone,
Since I am in IS exclusivity cancellation process I still can't sell royalty free audio elsewhere. But I decided to upload some of my full tracks that I made recently and offer them for RM license. When IS sends me a message that I am not exclusive anymore I will opt in to RF license.
I hope no one will see this as a pimping thread, because most of us here are photographers. I'm making music on my computer, at home, and I do everything from composing, through recording, producing, mixing, and post-processing.
I uploaded only 3 full tracks, and few loops. Lyrics for the song "Moonlit Sky" are written by my friend Denis Radovanovic (Goldenangel on the forum). Don't mind my awful accent while I sing, lol. I submitted instrumental version for people who want to sing it instead of me.
Instrumental "Mediterraneo" was one of my first instrumentals. I composed it when I was 18 (1992)
Instrumental "Reunion" was made this year.
I recommend you check only these three tracks, since other stuff I have there are only loops. These three tracks are very different one from another, so if you don't like the first one, please check other two.  :)

Please click here www.audiosparx.com/ivanpaunovic (http://www.audiosparx.com/ivanpaunovic)

and just click that small black speaker icon under the song title.
Thanks! :)
Ivan

These are great Ivan!  Really enjoyable!

My favorite was "Reunion".  Such powerful and emotional music.  Also really enjoyed the vocals on Moonlit Sky.  I'm a sucker for good, romantic lyrics.  :)

BTW, was that your voice singing in Moonlit Sky?

while not a fan of "electronica", i think it's as good as any of the rest of it that's out there. I performed professionally for 18 years...miss it (not the road, just the rush). Best of luck with your new-found freedom...I'll steer some clients your way!

Great music, Ivan! Glad you found a place to sell it, not at IS. I did think it ironic though that while I was listening to Reunion, a Thinkstock ad went through the rotation below it.

Very nice. I normally don't listen to that kind of music either but it's clear that you have talent. I also like "Reunion" a lot.
I'm a musician myself and have several recordings from years ago, spent hours, days and weeks playing around with Cubase. Never tried selling it though - I suppose you can't sell it if you used samples (Drumkit From Hell, Halion Symphonic Orchestra) ?

Thank you guys! :) Wow anonymous, I would be so grateful if you do so.
Cathy, I use addblocker, so I didn't see any adds. That's a shame :(
It's funny that this website, like many other sound libraries don't accept musicians who sell at Istock, because Istock sells music too cheap. They probably don't have an idea that the same company sells images in the same manner through the website they advertise. I will drops about it. I doubt they will do something about it, but who knows.

BTW, Reunion means me a lot. I'm glad you like it.

You can sell music that contains sampled instruments like Halion Symphonic Orchestra, because those instruments are made for that purpose. You can use them to make and sell your music without worrying that someone will sue you for copyright. You can't use loops and parts of other songs, or material that is not intended to be sold as new music piece, but I think you can even use some loop packs that are made only for this purpose (although I am not so sure about it, since I don't use previously made loops)

Oh Cathy, I see now. It's Google adds, right? Unfortunately it works pretty off control of people who have adds on their website. Actually, it advertises everything that has some connection to the stuff that appears on the page. In this case, it's advertising sound and image libraries.

Okay, thanks for the enlightenment  :)
Might have a go with it some day then
How well does it sell compared to images?

I don't know, I just joined. But I joined few more sites. I guess it sells less often than images, but I read good comments on Internet.

I book marked your link.  I use clips for client video presentations etc. I think my clients might like a few of your compositions.

MEDITERRANEO and ISLAND DREAM would work well for a few of them.

Thanks. Great! I always wanted to ask. I had the IS link but (a) the loops were too short there and (b) the tracks are ruined by that too loud and too often male "istockphoto" voice. Here the watermarking is much more discreet and female.

Your accent is an asset since it can't be determined. Dark voice. I liked the dance track the most, as I was a heavy fan of Darude 10 years ago. Did you have any formal musical eductation?

I saw your spot too. You are profesional musician.
Are you sure you are on the right forum?  ;D

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like it.
@gbalex: That's very kind of you! I have more bossa nova stuff to upload, similar to "Island Dream" :)
@FD-regular: No, I didn't really have any formal musical education. I started belcanto singing when I was 22, and I was the best in my class, but it wasn't really for me, since all I learned there were very simple songs. It was kinda boring, so I decided to stop.
