When I first visited London many years ago, I collected an acorn from Kensington Gardens and planted it in my back garden at home in Italy.

A nice little tree was born (picture 1).

Then I scanned a leaf and uploaded it to stock sites (picture 2).

Recently I found this ad at Westminster station (picture 3).

Little did I know that a leaf from my oak tree would return to London some fifteen years later as a stock photo.

Well, these are the little joys of a stock photographer. And just to make this out of topic thread a bit less useless, please feel free to post your interesting findings as well...

Great story.

I'm too much of a n00b to post any of my "interesting findings" but I live in hope.

Another amazing thing about this story is that the face in the ad actually looks like Leaf, the owner of this forum. Quite remarkable.  ;D

Great story, and congratulations for recognising it, even though it was your own pic. I'm sure I'd never have recognised it if it had been mine!

In fact, I wasn't completely sure (about the leaf being my own, not about the face being Leaf :) ).
I took a picture of the ad and checked back home.

Yes, I sold it as RF. Don't know on which site, but most sites allow a very high run without an EL so I have no problems with their usage.
