I'm not sure how valuable formal link exchanges really are - if you really want to help out other sites a much better approach is to mention someone in the context of a post, especially in any blog content.
Also I notice that your blog is on a different URL to your main domain - I'm not sure if you're planning to move it to your main domain, but this will give you much greater benefits than keeping it on a third party service like livejournal.
Thanks, I understand link exchanges have been "downgraded" by google for a while now...right? But I'd hate someone I already exchanged links with to find that I took their links down. I've done a lot of changes to my site, and it's a work in progress for the next few months I guess, I'd be happy to do a relevant blog exchange... haha, once I am done with my blog!
Moving livejournal to my site is number one priority... if you went to my journal you may have noticed that the top post says that I am moving to word press. Now, on to updating, revising and keywording more than two years of posts and shoots (and adding more) .. basically, re-writing the whole blog for better seo

But I'm already half way there - had hubby map word press on my site LOL... couldn't have done it without help!
