It's announced but the specs on the specs haven't been released that I could find. From CES and the Polaroid designer / spokesperson Lady Gaga. Funny in itself.
GL20 Camera Glasses:
• Merges Fashion With Photography: Never before has the world seen fashion, photography and technology come together in one, singular product.
• Tells Your Story to the World: Users can instantly capture or upload photos with the built-in camera and then display the images on the glasses' LCD screens for others to see.
The camera/glasses have a USB card built in, so it will save images which can be transferred to the computer or whatever else. I couldn't find the sensor information. Just wanted to put this in off topic because I know many people don't read cameras very often if at all. :)
So no more P&S, no sneaking a camera into events, you can wear them. Shades that Shoot... Has to be interesting for a street photographer. No more conspicuous camera to hold.
Also announced were a no ink printer and of all things... an Instant Camera! The camera has the no ink printer built in, so it's digital to crystal, color heat printing.
Fuji also has their new instant camera making photos using the old Polaroid technology. 800 ISO film? That's got to be strange? If you didn't catch it, the last Polaroid film was made a few years back. There is no more. But Fuji still makes some film packs for the last model cameras and the film backs for 4x5 and other large format cameras. Last I saw they were still making the film for ID and industrial cameras.
