Hey Nikon users. If you don't know already, Capture NX has been upgraded and 60 day trial is available for download. http://www.capturenx.com/ (http://www.capturenx.com/)
I processed a a soccer team through the new version last night and there's definitely many improvements - although it is still very slow. This batch of photos was taken late on a very dark evening n overcast night and it helped me brighten up the background a bit quite easily without fussing around. The control points are also improved. Why did they release it with it being so * clunky though??? Supposedly takes more than twice as long as Lightroom.
Now, I have 7 more teams to process today so I'm back to it.

Hey thanks!
I use Nikon Capture - version 1.3.3 - and you're right. It is horrendously slow. >:( It's even slower with the images I'm getting from my D3. >:( >:(
But I'm sticking with it on the (maybe wrong) principle that Nikon know best how to convert their own RAW files (the NEF format).
I'll download the new version.
