We are scanning a ton of photos for a memorial. I commented that I could make a little video on Animoto - but their clips are limited to 10 minutes. She would like 70 minutes of music with the photos.
Ahhhh.. I'm sure I could find a way but I am in such a crunch here with everything we have to get done. Is there a program in my CS3 Suite that I can make a "movie of photos with a soundtrack" - essentially a slideshow that can be played on television or computer.
I see there's Flash / Fireworks / After effects in my suite. Never used any of them but something has to work. Suggestions?
: There's also something called Encore also in the suite, maybe that's the one?

This can be useful:

I have ProShow Gold. MS Photo Story is a good free solution. There is another free software by MS for Windows Vista.

Google the net...you might be able to find a free slideshow generator. You can do it in Flash, there are plugins for Dreamweaver, but if you are not conversant in those aps, it's time-consuming to do. Also, there is a web gallery plug-in for Photoshop. I know it was in CS4 so I would assume in CS3, too. Look under file>automate. You might have to install the plug-in. Maybe that will work for what you need?
edit: another idea...maybe drop onto flickr and then they can be viewed as slideshow?

I just did some slideshows with Fotomagico pro, a very easy-to-use and affordable software http://www.boinx.com/fotomagico/overview/ (http://www.boinx.com/fotomagico/overview/) (Available for Mac OS X)

Thanks for great options everyone. I hope to find time tonight to start on that step. Foto magico looks pretty easy. I wonder if the number of songs and length is restricted in any way.

I've done a bunch of slideshows in Adobe Acrobat, and love it because you can literally embed anything in them(pictures, video, excel, powerpoint, etc.., etc..), is easy to set transitions between slides, and easy to put music to and it's already in PDF format which anyone can view. I think Acrobat is in CS3 suite but not positive.
