Just forward the email (you don't need to add a note or anything) to [email protected]

They will respond in a few days saying thanks for reporting the scammer.  I also like to think they give brownie points to the Paypal accounts people who send in the scam reports but I'm sure that's wishful thinking.

Although it may look legit, one dead give-away is that fact that they refer to you as 'customer'.

Paypal have got your name, and any e-mail I have had from them (not many) has always addressed me by name.

The phishers don't know who you are. In fact, they've probably sent out millions of these e-mails in the hope that one or two careless people will 'bite'.

I get those a lot in all my email accounts....  Hotmail correctly filters them as spam, and then I report them as phishing scam (just click a button).

I didn't know there was a PP support address for that, it's good to know.

Adelaide

Just want to say that I find fishing so humoristic :D. At the same time it's make me very angry and I hate them more then nothing else >:(

Mostly because if there's so many fishing, it's because these people hack successfully some real people many times.

I receive phone call from many kind of sellers each weeks. I say hello and then they say hello my name is Lysa and we hear that people from your city have water quality problems and we give you a totally free service of water quality control given by our expert...

My big fun is when I have the time, I keep them on the phone for three or four minutes saying that I have a thing to do and I will be back. Then I clap the phone at their nose.

I know this is useless, but it make me feel great after that. I don't know why... It's a mix of anger and curiosity of what they invented this time.

Then I call my mother a week after to realize that she just meet the water control guy and she think to buy a water cleaning filter at 8000$ >:( :D

I win the UK Lottery a few times per month. And I think Nigeria is a very rich and dangerous country because bankers die there all the time with some undercover money their want me to clean for a 15% fee. I always wonder why they need my bank account number and ID copy. No need for that. They are always welcome here with the cash and I will clean it for them on the spot.
